And what about the Twigg's real daughter, who was being abused by the father who stole her. IT's been proven abuse is more likely to occur when there is no biological link between child and caregiver. Children belong with their true parents whenever possible

What were they gonna do?! Ditch her!?! That was their daughter. You act like they should suddenly have returned her to the store & how big of them not to!? I never would have told her. It doesn't matter. I certainly would have been curious about my biological child out there and want to know if they are alright & happy, cared for, but I would have kept it under wraps and not wanted the girls to ever know. I definitely wouldn't have sued that poor father either. He obviously loved his daughter and just as Arlena was theirs, Kimberly was his. I wouldn't want anyone trying to take my only child away. It's bonds that bind, and damaging that for the sake of "blood" is futile & wrong. This was a test of love beyond the DNA.

@michelleroberts65975 жыл бұрын
I really do too. I'm so confused as to who swapped the babies. Was it the May's? And also, is Regina Twigg still alive. I really felt that she was the victim. I mean imagine, having all those children, and then having to bring home a sick baby into a family that was struggling financially? I have more questions now.
@BlazinBritBrat5 жыл бұрын
@@michelleroberts6597 I don't think Kim lied. Emotions can really mess with a persons mind. She has a different view point as an insider looking out. We only see what the news shows us in the case. Can you picture spending your life thinking you were some one else? Your entire life would feel like a lie. I understand why the twiggs wanted to know their daughter. However, I also think there was a piece of them that was hoping to get their daughter they lost back in a way. However, Arlena was already Kimberly at that point. So bonds between them felt unnatural.There was an interview where Regina called Bob a criminal and kimberly needed to know the truth. How would you feel someone said that about someone you loved? She was a kid. Bob was the only dad Kim knew. If Arlena had survived surgery, how would Regina feel if Bob tried to fight for custody? Regina had every right to find her daughter. However, once she saw she was okay, she should have just let kimberly meet her on her own terms.
@danielhainline88825 жыл бұрын
@@BlazinBritBrat I think Kim felt pressure from Bob Mays to cut the Twigg family from her life. In 2015, when Barbara Walters interviewed Kim who had dyed black hair, tattoos, and piercings, Kim cried when Darlena didn't tell her Bob died. She wanted her children to know him better. Flash forward almost five years earlier and Kim's hair is showing its true color and she doesn't have piercings and she says Bob abused her physically and emotionally. She clarifies to the interviewer that her lawyer pressured her to divorce her birth family. Her teenage self says she thought of Darlena as a mother and they got along. Kim corrects herself and says they didn't. I think the pressures from the Twigg family and Mays family drove Kim to have an identity crisis that made her confused and the lies came out before she could stop them. I do think she should try to get to a better place and contact Regina. Then take the relationship slow so she is comfortable.
