Humno is for fixing ground loops that you would get when using an a/b box(with no iso transformer on one output) between two amps, 4 cable method in some units...or if racking, the chassis of two pieces of gear touching, the ground pin of the power cable/audio cable shield connected...or a line level signal going from your amp to an audio interface. It's not for line filtering. Handy with rack preamp/poweramp/switcher/line level rack configurations as well.

Yes. This was a lifesaver for me using two amps to get stereosound. The groundloop sound before this device was used was very loud and terrible!

Whaaaaaaaaat? That beautiful Kerry King signature announced at Namm wasn’t enough to save Dean? I’m surprised! In all seriousness, I’m sad to see the demise of Dean. Never owned one but played a couple of USA guitars (for get the range but they were the simple, natural mahogany finished models that came out in the 90s), and they were absolutely killer!

It's deeply disheartening to witness the decline of a once-iconic brand like Dean Guitars. I recall their first run of VMNT Dave Mustaine guitars as an owner with a sense of profound nostalgia. Those instruments were not just pieces of wood and metal; they were emblematic of a golden era of metal music and guitar craftsmanship. Each curve, fret, and string resonated with the spirit of rock and rebellion that defined that age. But, like many great entities that lose their way, Dean Guitars seems to have drifted from the very ethos that once made them stand out in a saturated market. It's a melancholic reminder that even the mightiest can fall, and that maintaining a legacy requires continuous commitment to excellence and innovation.

Worked for Dean "Back in the day" at the time Elliot bought Dean. I have friends that still work there and it breaks my heart that A.E. has let the business go to the side. They were really good guitars and I loved going to work there every day. This is a situation that " only vintage" style guitars may have done more long term damage. RIP Dean USA..🤘

Hi Ola, I recently pick up that morley cable for the horrible ground problem I have in my garage. Whenever I use 2 amps, and I have a stereo setup so I usually run 2 amps, I get a very loud hum. I purchased this morley product and it worked magic. Do I still get some amp noise... yes. But I'd did get rid of the additional hum I got when running a second amp.

PLEASE RESPOND OLA Can you please get your hands on some Diezel amps, and not the D-moll but the VH4 and Hagen? You're one of the few youtubers whos ear I trust. We have similar tastes. It is because of you that I ultimately put EL34s in my Roadster and it dramatically improved my sound. You did the VH4 and Hagen amps back in the Ola no talk days and the audio subsequently wasn't as good and demos of these amps are hard to come by. I live in Northern Californian and have zero access to any of the German amps without simply purchasing one.

Did you say svart? Sounded like it. But whatever it is called, it is suhwheeeeet. I have a blacked out Strat with ebony fretboard. Love that look. The ebony wasn't dark enough so I did the black leather dye trick. Worked great. Black hardware, bridge...I will own that very instrument you are holding. Just have to find one. And as far as Nickleback...I was at an Ozzfest once and the lineup was bands like Devildriver, Lamb of God, Five Finger Death Punch and a dozen others, including Nickleback. I could not believe it when I saw the lineup sheet. Nickleback at an Ozzfest? When they came out on stage, the crowd went insane, and not the good kind. They almost started a riot. They didn't make it thru one song and they just quit. They all got up and walked off stage but Chad gave everyone the finger on his way off and I really did think they would charge the stage to get at him. It was nuts. That's what you get when you have some accountant type promoter who doesn't know shit about the metal scene. They saw the "big name" and penciled them in. Whoever made that mistake should have been fired. People could have been hurt from that stupid decision.

As someone who has a Dean Dave Mustaine electric guitar for $300 from 2008, which is my beginner guitar, it is sad to hear that Dean is going down to its grave. I love my guitar so much and that's my go-to for playing metal music. Not the best guitar, by any means, but it's good for beginners like me. I always wanted a Dimebag one and now, it's too late to get one so I will probably go for a Schecter one with high-quality that I want for more than $900 (doesn't this mean professional level?). Won't be the second (I have an Epiphone one for $550 in early 2015) electric guitar I will have but still, it sucks those unique Dimebag guitars are no longer in the work. Let's be real, Dean deserves better management.

I bought Dean Vanguard 2008 iirc. I had to block FR last year because it started to crack! And I switched bridge pickup to Emg 81X (and removed neck pickup) ten years ago. Otherwise I've only changed strings to it and it still my favorite guitar! It is amazingly easy to play. I have plenty of other brand guitars but this Dean is absolutely the best there is. I payed 290€ for the guitar and 130€ for the pickup. Same quality Jacksons starts from about 700€. It is sad to hear about their demise. Wonder if there's cheap Deans in second hand markets... 🤔
@dumpsterplayer5133
@dumpsterplayer5133 Жыл бұрын
Speaking of Mustaine, the reason why he went to Dean in the first place is a really good clue that Dean's business model might have some issues. Back in 06 Mustaine was ready to sign back to Jackson, they worked out a pretty good deal, he was even in contact with Grover Jackson, yada yada yada, but someone brought up Michael Schenker getting a fat endorsement deal with Dean. So he went to them and see what they could offer him, and whatever they offered was enough for him to dump Jackson there and there and jumped ship, and considering the amount of signature models he got over the years with Dean it was probably something ridiculous. But anyway, the point is that Dean seems to put all of their eggs in the "big name" basket and hope to sell off the back of their endorsee reputation. Dimebag, Mustaine, later on King. But those are kinda boomer names nowadays and they don't have the same draw as they do in the early 2000s, and they never really grew beyond being that kind of brand. Even BC Rich in their early 2000s era of 50 million different crappy models still had a solid following on their top end Korean made stuffs at Worlds, and ESP despite also having a bunch of different endorsement models was never actually known for that because they barely advertise them.

In the early 90’s I traded a heavy black les Paul for a heavy black Gibson explorer. I hardly played it, I like Dean and Charvel/Jackson. Recently, I pulled it out of the case and took a picture of it front and back. I looked at the back of the headstock and there’s a small Gibson Custom Shop Edition logo. I had no idea! It’s a black neck through with gold bridge, pickups and tuners. I figured out the serial number, it’s a 1983 stamped Jan 12. 🤯

That's too bad for Dean Guitars. I have a Dean, and it's really good. But if everything they produce and blab about is *"DIMEBAG DIMEBAG DIMEBAG"* , well... not everyone is the world's biggest Pantera fan. Plus: aside from the V, Z, and (possibly) Cadillac shapes, the other models like Vendetta, EVO, and those ridiculous neon Custom Zone, were either rather bland or just pug-ugly... I love my Dean Palomino though! Edit: Yes, I'm definitely pre-ordering CHUG 2 today (guitarist edition!!) 🤘😎🤘

I think the Humno thing should have an useful function. They should just specify clearly what the thing do to avoid dissapointed clients. It is not the same thing a grounding problem against a harmonics pollution(in electrical signal analysis) even if you can attenuate the harmonics polution slightly with a better grounding. With lightning artifacts (LED drivers and the like) you inject a perturbation that is only treatable with filters. The thing bugging me is that that Humno device looks more like a passive filter than a grounding solution. All in all, your exercise is not as useless as you may think.

Metal is not Dead, and is not for Metallica (that is no longer metal is just bull*** since a long time ago) from 35 years ago I'm metalhead, metal banger whatever you wanted to call me, and Nickelback is not metal as well too, real metal has it now with new generations of young people really really good at it playing with too much evolution because they love music and not just for mainstream media that is bull***, I have a great appreciation for Ola, but remember we aren't media mainstream just youtube media for all the world, by the way, I do believe this channel it's great for us the people we love metal and playing guitars for a pro not just beginners absolutely agree. Ola for throat sore drink hot hotter with honey from Colombia have a good one.
