Pathological liars (or liars in general), typically forget which previous lies they have told, and that's when you get so many changes in story. When you're telling the truth, you remain consistent. When you are telling the truth, you don't have to second guess yourself (and it's even harder to maintain composure when you're being gaslit, let alone groomed).

Adam please don't feel like you have to go live or feel like you're letting people down if you decide you need more time to process everything. It's ok to spend time with your family or hangout with your friends. We support you and I can't imagine what you've been going through lately. I'm glad you had a chance to get it off your chest but make sure to take care of yourself first and foremost before anything else. If you decide you want to go live I'll be there to support you too. But don't feel like you have to just because of everything that has happened. You are a human who has been through so much unnecessary trauma and vultures that have caused you more harm. Take your time to heal in whatever way you need. Hugs to you and I'm glad to hear you are around your family as well.

Yes and the way the interview was so centered around him like he was the main guest star and Oliver and Becky was their as just silent statues waiting for their turn to talk, and I also can’t stand how he had to rub it in that he’s been in the fandom for a long time as if he’s stretching his story of how much time he had in the fandom to look like his situation was more than Becky and Oliver as if time literally in the context of which grooming allegation is worse matters

“I saw Adam McIntyre wear army pants and flip flops, so I wore army pants and flip flops (but wore it better)” - Johnny, probably In all seriousness, my jaw was on the floor after hearing Johnny repeatedly shaming victims of abuse and that his thing was worse than sexual abuse. As a victim of SA, there’s already a level of shame and embarrassment when it comes to talking about it in general, so for someone to further shame and invalidate that trauma is just revictimising victims. It’s even more baffling that he said it to Swoop’s FACE after he knew what she has been through. My heart goes out to her. Adam, I am so sorry that someone has now betrayed you and taken your story/trauma and used it for their own personal agenda not once, but twice. Johnny and the idea of "worse" situations is what harms fellow survivors of trauma and abuse. There is no NEED to compare the severity of each person's story. You can relate but NOT compare. People who compare are doing it to make themselves feel better. It's disgusting. We as survivors are empathetic to one another and supportive. Stuff like that makes me upset. It makes people who are victims of abuse/trauma feel like they have to be silent because it's not "serve / bizarre." Both normalized and ostracized versions of abuse are UNACCEPTABLE. I wish people would understand that.

Well said! People shame victims for not coming forward with their stories but then only expect every story of trauma or abuse to match their own expectation of horror. I know I've struggled because my story doesn't meet a "cinematic level" of trauma that people expect. There's so many normalized or ignored forms of abuse that people treat as unimportant and then wonder why no one spoke up. I hope it becomes more common to recognize all forms and levels of abuse as valid and important to discuss.

Exactly the thing that makes me most upset about this as well as the fact that false victims are used as a Datapoint against real victims. People having false or exaggerated stories, create a narrative that allows for victims to be questioned, and not believed when they try to come forward.

The honesty, maturity, empathy, and understanding of nuance you have displayed in the last few months is profound. The emotions you have shown are more than understanding, and while we can all say you don’t have to feel embarrassed about anything that has happened, that doesn’t stop the deep hurt you feel and has been brought upon you. I’m wishing you peace and success in everything you do, whether the world gets to see it or not❤ Edit: something I noticed and mentioned with friends: as a survivor of SA who has found comradery with other survivors, I have NEVER seen a fellow survivor belittle another survivor’s experience. More often, I see survivors downplay THEIR OWN experience to make others feel seen or valid. Maybe it’s just anecdotal, but the survivors/victims I have known in my life always wanted to lift their peers up, not diminish their stories

I’m so sorry that u too experienced SA, and my heart sends strength to urs across the miles. Stand strong knowing u r a SUVIVOR, and that ur abuser didn’t win at the end of the day. ❤

The experience I have had with pretty much anyone processing surviving abuse is that listening to other people process is a lot of how you even realize what happened to you was abuse in the first place, bc often it’s easier for us to empathize with and humanize other people than ourselves. All of my awareness of my own abuse is because of me realizing I would not condone these things happening to other people; and other people being disturbed by experiences I shared I didn’t think were remarkable at all. I hear a lot more “mine isn’t good enough to qualify as actual abuse” than “actually mine is worse than yours” We can generally tell what is and isn’t worse; and “worse” is a fairly useless metric for survivors commiserating anyway. Like I can recognize that someone like Swoop has survived things I can’t comprehend experiencing, but I don’t think that makes my abuse irrelevant and I don’t think she would ever say or think that about different forms of abuse. Hurt is hurt. Damage is damage. I don’t want anyone to have to go through what I did or what she survived. For better or worse the language of processing trauma is different than the language of abuse cycles being perpetuated or abusers trying to get into our spaces. We can hurt each other for sure, traumatized people can hurt each other. But not like this.

Swoop is an incredible person. To not only give you another platform to share your truth, keeping you involved but to also support, comfort and offer a listening ear behind the scenes. Part 3 broke me. As a DV survivor myself, hearing the things Johnny said boiled my blood and then hearing the hurt in Swoop's voice too... it was very heavy and hard to get through. Incredibly proud of strenght of Swoop, her team, you, Becky, Oliver, Alex and the other true victims of both Colleen and now Johnny. The damage that Johnny has potentially caused by adding things to other stories. I remember on thr H3 podcast when he mentioned what supposedly happened behind the scenes during Becky's experience and I just sat there like "really?", especially when he said that Kory reacted negatively about it too.. given what has been said bout Kory, it didnt feel right. Did what he say in this instants happen? I dont know but it didnt feel true to me. If I can find some sort of positive? So far, I've seen so many people still 100% supporting the true victims, people apologising to Josh and others who are victims of Johnny's. I was very concerned when watching the doc that people would start turning on everybody. I think Josh's interview is going to be interesting, but again, very hard to watch.

I watched the swoop doc last night. And like I said there, it was a hard watch listening to Johnny. The Narssistic Abuse he was doing to you and Swoop was *uncanny* similar to my ex. You are valid for feeling betrayed, hurt, and wanting nothing to do with him after realizing you can finally be free of him. I may be still healing and realizing the smaller transgressions my ex did to me, but hearing you say "he's nothing to me anymore." about Johnny did feel empowering. Just know your interview with Swoop did help someone (and most likely others) who have been struggling with that type abuse for *years* even after a horriable breakup after 8 whole damn years. Even as adults, there are times I have angry, hurtful thoughts that haunts me to this day just because I finally stood up for myself when I broke up with the guy (I am 32 now. I broke up with the man when I was in collage prior to the pandemic.). It helped me realize that I can eventually stop giving a damn and not think about the person who've hurt me and gaslit me to be smaller than him. And for that, Thank you. But I also hope you take time for yourself to finally be at peace after everything is done. You deserve to be free from this, and I'm really hoping your move to a new location will help you with that too. You are far stronger than you give yourself credit for. Just remember that. And I totally get that trusting may be hard after that but You're doing far better than I was when I first finally took the steps, and that's brave and powerful.

Adam is an absolutely amazing human. You are genuinely good and I hope you're parents know how fortunate they are to have such an amazing person to call their child.

What Johnny did was disgusting and vile, you don't deserve any of this. Please take care of yourself Adam ♥️ You are strong, loved, and believed

I've watched Swoop for YEARS and seeing how genuine and kind she has been to you makes me so glad she covered all of this. It's so so sad that it's happening but I'm glad there are people out there looking out for you.

I came to your channel from part 1 of swoops documentary. Im so happy that swoop gave you her platform and got your story from you. Im also so proud of you and you’ve inspired me. Adam you’re an amazing person and I’m so sorry about this whole shitty situation.
