Thank you so much for sharing! My husband is a dark skin Mexican American. Once he was stuck behind a construction street too, and coincidentally he cut off a cop car too! My husband got really scared, the cop started to tail gate us and then ended up right next to my husband. The cop stared at my husband with so much hate. I popped my head next to my husband to make sure the cop sees my light skin Asian female self . The cop saw me and slowed down his car and left us a lone. I had to use my privilege to protect my husband. When we were at the Asian market, the clerks were I'following my husband, I had to hold his hand for them to know I'm with him for them to stop following him. I am afraid what will happen to him if he shops or goes out a lone but I'm glad he's still living his life.
