I picked up a ton of SAO games on a huge sale a few weeks ago and the only experience I have of SAO is SAO abridged. For PS5, these games take a bit to get used to their controls and the story is always a bit generic. Lost Song has a pretty nice amount of side events and boss fights, but the grinding foe magic skill leveling is insanity. Fatal Bullet is such a good "turn off your brain" game and being able to allocate stats and try new builds is really addicting. If you're having issues clearing some of the tougher enemies, you can put it in easy mode to get to post game. If you want to push yourself, normal and then hard mode are significantly more challenging. There were a few times in the DLC where I was scratching my head on how to beat a boss with the weapons and levels I had, but I still managed to use some forgotten skills and defeat a tough boss. Total spent: $30 Lost Song hours: 60+ Fatal Bullet base game hours: ~15 Fatal Bullet DLC hours: 100+ and still happily going. About to finish the last of the quest and hoping to jump back into the final dungeon (That uses a whole different level/weapon setup) and get passed the 40th floor. No idea how far it goes, but it keeps me on my toes knowing that I'm on my own if my teammates go down. I can definitely understand not liking the game if you spent money and don't enjoy looter shooters. Especially if you paid $110 on Fatal bullet for the full game and dlc. However, for a total of $16 like it just was, this might have been one of the biggest bang for my buck games I've gotten in a while. My judgement for if a game was worth it or not is hours played vs cost. If a game is $5 and I play it for 5 hours or more, it was worth it, even if it isn't mind-blowing. I was pleasantly surprised with all the features that are baked into the Lobby and ability to play solo there as well. A lot of the DLCs were also better than expected, especially the final region. I'd rate this game as a slow burner 8/10, no SAO knowledge necessary (OK, at least watch SAO abridged. It's actually good and gives you a pretty good idea of the overall lore.)

Regarding the auto aim turning off, at least in console just pressing down will turn it off. Also using the middle pad brings up team commands that make the ai for your teammates much better.

1. You CAN turn off aim assist 2. the gameplay is actually very unique with all the skills and glitches you have that sort of are part of the game now simce they never tried to fix most of these although they always knew about it 3. youd be surprised to know that almost every fatal bullet addict doesnt like the anime i see that there are lots of downsides too but you barely even played the game and dont even know about it enough to be able to jduge it like that

Even as I SAO fans I still don't think this game is worthy of praise. It's the best SAO game they've made yet, but they could be so much better, the standard for SAO games has always been low.

I do like how you say 'there is still a crazy strong aim assist that seemingly cannot be turn off.' while literally 14 seconds later at 5:03 when showing your settings you can clearly see 'Use target assist: ON'. That, right there is the option to turn it off. Feel free to tell me if I'm wrong though.

Yup i did the mistake to buy it on a sale for 12 dlls. All i wanted was an action RPG and a TPS but i got this instead, lol. I am not a fan of Sword Art Online by the way. It is not a terrible game but not that good.

It is the best sao game sadly it still had too much kirito in it a running them with these games the npcs also are dumb as bricks they seem to have a hard time grasping the concepts of heights and urgency online needed the option for private servers other than this npcs do well in chip damage and attacking enemies dodging is not their strong suit combat is solid but the enemy sniper ai needs to be toned down when in large numbers becuase omg it's worse than fighting a boss battle. This game performs well in combat, npc assistance when it works, online missions,weapons mods tho I did want more options, accessory buffs, and movement. Stats and equipment needed heavy improvements and explanation i hate that weapons get random requirements to use it's not a steady uptik based on rank and chips and i hate the cp to stat distribution it made no sense that the cp is not equal to the stat distribution i understand that this is giving dark souls difficulty but it needed to be spaced out more.

iirc last dlc was 20 bucks because it was an actual update with more content and after the main story. the others where just content you can do in less then 10mins and before the ending so it felt like cut content lol. I know this because while a non fan i got suckered into by a friend who loves sao and he kinda gets played everytime by these releases goes on saying not going to by the next and does anyway like he will be for the new one dropping. Shocked you havent brought up how unbalanced this game is but then again this is a issue with all of them
