Both. Sure, Eve and the other characters are aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, but the game itself is an absolute blast. From the story (yes, it's actually really good if you pay attention and read the lore, do sidequests, etc.) I've gone through it 6 times and will surely go through it again later this year. The boss fights were on another level of badass. I mean, how can you go wrong with an incredibly polished game that runs better than 99% of most AAA games on the market, hot characters, blood n' gore, incredible combat system on top of a pretty decent story? It brought me back to the golden days of gaming. Yes, Stellar Blade is my personal GoTY for 2024. Above Relink and Rebirth. In fact, it's one of my favourite games of all time, and I've been gaming since the late 90's with single-player/RPG's being my focus to this day. P.S. You two were hilarious. I laughed so hard at the Kirby reference.

Agreed, stellar blade was impressive in almost every aspect. Side quests could have had significantly more work though. But I would say from 2008 until now has been a constant golden age of gaming. Theres amazing games all the time and they only keep getting better

@@Mr_Mistah thats objectively not true about big games. A ton of them are very good. People just focus on a few popular games which are clearly nowhere near the best games. Literally every year since like 2008 ish like I said theres at least several amazing games and several more good games

Both. But, in all seriousness, this game is an instant iconic IP. It is rare to find something that can perform well at launch and feel smooth while having outstanding visuals. The music alone is worth the price. It's a must-buy. It's one of the few games where I strive to unlock all the trophies.

Fun Fact: EVE's sword, the Blood Edge, also acts as EVE's hairpin! Kim Hyung-Tae's wife played a key part in designing EVE's outfits and hair. The actual blade portion coils inside EVE's hair-tie that supports her entire ponytail!

I'm playing for both! I got lured in because I saw the main character was pretty and curvy and I saw that the demo was free, so I downloaded and played and I wasn't really interested in the game till I got to the boss fight. I really like the boss fights and the combat style really shined when you fought the boss for the first time! Maybe a bit of that hype was the sharp change of music when transitioning to the boss though.

Great vid guys. Her sword is actually her hair piece lol. The monsters, graphics and yes, character design, made me try the game. I didn't think I'd like the combat from the trailers. Game ended up being some of the most fun combat I've played and parrying feels so satisfying in this game. Very fun game and 100% worth playing.

Welll.... really great Stage Fighting. But for realism, it is horrible - as re4alistic fights are waaaaaaay less spectacular. Take Star Wars: The fight between Vader and Obi Wan where he "dies" - that is "realistic". The stuff between Dooku and Anakin is rewritten to be better by Lee to mix realism and Stagefight (especially the Stage Fight Part was horrible originally). Darth Maul and Qui Gon/ObiWan was pure awesome Stage Fight where especially the Actor of Maul did a great Work putting QuiGon into the Spotlight. Stagefighting is basically the Actor trying to make his Opponent look "right" - which is a bit counterintuitive at first as you do not Battle the Opponent rather than to "support" him. And that is the Thing in Games - the Movements of the Car are only "good" when the Enemies react properly to it - and the Actors have to do the Moves without that Feedback to go by. Stellar Blade may be a "Tits&Ass-Game" but it makes a really good Job at it - it really could make a proper "Witchblade-Game" if you go for the looks of the Game alone. Sadly, nothing else does not support this - or better, transports it to you, the Player. It neither goes with "Movie-esque" nor "Blood&Gore-Slughter-Game" lacking the DMC-Feel entirely. But the Motion Actors did a great Job. It is Gamedesign - especially the Mechanics - that kill the immersion, that made it feel like tanking instead of beeing "one of the greatest of its Time". It's like Disney - if you can't sell a Lesbian Lightsaberwielding Couple in Bathrobes to a Nerd-Audience, you did something REALLY wrong. And Stellar Blade could have been a serious Game - but choose to be a "common Tist&Ass-Asiagame like all else" instead of the next "DMC with Waifu-Chicks".

If didn't played the game, but combat looks interesting. And they look pretty realistic. They remind me a bit of ninjutsu. Also being honest, looking at the character dysign: The played with genetics facs of males. They know there fan base are gamers. So the choice to make the chars mainly female and give them a 90/60/110 body was pretty much intentionally. it'snt like i dislike it, that it is that way.
