I was imagining the skin hands being their own skin, and the hands holding the weapons being gorey/meaty and flayed. Like a display of the things they have done to ‘ascend’.

Fab paint job but something more important. 2 things. 1st. You are a woman and I showed my youngest daughter who is 8 that girls/females paint models and play games which has cheered her up as she likes to play little games with her Space marines. 2nd. The way you hold your paintbrush is the same way she holds her pencil and paintbrush and it proves to her she is not "odd". Kids at school mention it but the teachers points out that her writing is neater than theirs and should be quiet. You have inspired her and have given her alot of confidence now. Thank you. Love from the UK

Really nice paint job. The unmade are my favourite, I need to get a box at some point. I was painting some pirates from the Conan kickstarter by Monolith Edition. I've had it for years, but need some bandits for D&D and the pirates seemed to fit the bill.

Wow...girl you are a PRO! Like fantastic! Honestly I prefer painting in natural light as yellow florescent lights disrupt my vision. Turquoise and white is one of my favorite combinations though I used to play Black Templars space marines so the scheme was simple black/white with shadow gray highlights. Love your shading/wash technique!
@Mabufu3815 жыл бұрын
you should look into getting some daylight bulbs, theyre actually more efficient than yellow fluorescent bulbs and dont affect the colour. I use two lamps with them in, one on each side, for painting :)
@judgedreddthelaw34185 жыл бұрын
@@Mabufu381 thanks dude! Will certainly look into those bulbs! Have heard the daylight bulbs are better than the fluorescent ones and you just confirmed it for me 😄👍
@perrygrosshans85375 жыл бұрын
@@judgedreddthelaw3418 Can confirm. Those daylight bulbs are sick! Also, LED strings are great for putting up around your painting areas. If you can't afford the daylight lamps, bright LEDs do the trick toot-sweet. :)

I used druchi violet over rakarth flesh for my skin and then layered with slaanesh grey and highlighted with pallid wych flesh. I figured if they're from the realm of death they probably don't look overly healthy. For the hides I just did a fairly heavy wash of agrax earthshade over zandri dust and then layered with a little more zandri dust to get that leatherface/book of the dead look.

Nice looking mini! I picked up a few contrast paints myself to use on my savage orcs. I've got about 40 of them waiting to be put together and painted, lol! I think the contrast paints will help immensely with that. I noticed on a few of your battle reports, and with this miniature, that you keep the bases very plain looking (sandy looking texture with one colour). Which is totally cool (I myself tend to go quite easy and plain, particularly with armies, but even with some recent D&D miniatures). Have you done more complicated looking bases, perhaps with generals/heroes? I'm talking about adding tuft terrain pieces, skulls, cobblestones, etc. Just curios. Thanks for the vid!
@swordnsteele7125 жыл бұрын
I have :) My Age of Sigmar pieces have more complicated bases, tufts, rocks, branches, flowers etc. The Warcry ones were based to be completed quickly, but when time allows I may return to them for sprucing :)
