Good guide. Something I have had good luck with in pve is switching the lvl 43 choice to Artful cunning. So with Trick Move, I leap to the target attack from stealth then attack with Brutal shots twice then normal rotation to get my dots on then main unload of usually 3 more Brutal shots then pop Pugnacity. Artful Cunning make it max my stacks of Upper Hand so I am usually getting another 3 Brutal shots in there. This rotation has me basically getting around 8 Brutal Shots in my opener.

I'm experiencing something weird issue where after I press 2 attacks (any two), my energy drains almost down to 10-15, every single time. Has anyone here ever experienced that? it seemed to happen when I got to nar shadda.

I am actually having the SAME problem. I just started the class last night. Energy was fine on the starter planet and Coruscant, but when I got to Taris and leveled up to where the ability tree unlocked, the energy drain is crazy. I can't do more than 2-3 attacks, each one dropping the energy below 50%, 2 dropping it to none existant. It feels like a bug. Disappointing to say the least.

I am actually having massive issues with energy with this build. Would there be any reasons outside of the rotation that this could be possible?

I'm having the same problem. Probably the worst I have ever seen and to the point where it feels broken. I can use literally any of the first 3 powers I got back at level 10 and I lose all my energy but when I was playing it up to Nar Shadda, i never had a single energy issue.

Same problem with me too. Energy drains away faster than any other class I played. Doing basic attacks is even a problem. I have to actually use the self regen power every single fight which I've never done with any class before, ever. I have 20, 80 level characters, never experienced this a mount of downtime on ANY of them.

Take this with a grain of salt because I am just starting with this rotation (just got to lvl 80), but testing it on a dummy, initially I ran into the same issues with Energy. It basically comes down to two things - below 60% of energy, you regenerate energy at almost half the rate as above 60%. So if you go below 60% and you keep spending energy, you are basically just digging a bigger and bigger hole. Now the trick to not get there is to get as many free cost Sanguinary Shots (via Unfair Advantage from Blaster Whip) as you can. So basically as Mark said, if BW is ready, and you have at most 1 Upper Hand, use BW. Eventually I may ran into energy issues as well, but it will be way later. Also, do not use Cool Head once you are on zero Energy - it does not regenerate enough to get your far away from the "no energy/low regen rate" hole. If you dip to 50% Energy, use Cool Head (or Flurry of Bolts if CH is on cooldown), otherwise you will quickly get into way bigger problem.

I still love viral elements more, with all my dots up including bushwhack, then using blaster whip for extra damage to next tech attack. Then I’ll spam back blast, hot streak, and back blast again and it does so much damage. You should give it a try
