As a Filipino I got ecstatic when I experienced 3 degrees for the first time in a mountainous area here in the Philippines. For us here, the 37-degree April summer is just too much. I'm guessing though that this is a case of grass being greener on the other side. & by the way, glad to find this channel! I find his comments spot on, tbh. Not that i think Norwegians are rude. But the culture is different. Like, an unwritten rule in norway is that you are not supposed to speak with strangers on the tram. If you sit next to the window, you signal to the person next to you that you will leave at the next stop simply by pointing your feet towards the aisle. Due to phone usage nowadays, you might want to point with your thighs. Try it out! It works every time. If you would say «excuse me» as the first step (and not a last resort) you would act invasive. Norwegians would not mind, but they may think that you speaking would be an unnecessary action. So imagine these people travelling abroad 😂.

Please don't think everything he says is true. He's funny and liked ,sometimes it's true, but he says a lot I actually think is sad he allows himself to say. Loved his videos ,but now reading comments and seing people believe him in things that I don't know how he bases what he says. I think it's things very true, and we can laugh about it ,but getting bigger and getting people to think we spit on Rom people, beggars and several other claims, I feel like it's not cool to enjoy so much comments about you're funny, while putting Norwegians in a false light and exaggerate and even say things that I don't recognise at all. A lot about Norway I don't like and can laugh and be embarrassed for ,but he crosses the line and it does even make me sad . Hear just shit about us in comments sections ,think people misunderstand a few important things about how" we" are.Explaining that would be better than continue to be popular on making it worse ,even do everything to find things to say that isn't right. Mix it in with much that are ,and people don't understand, ofcaurs..

Spunkymunky even in Mexico the more south you go, winter is not that bad at all. In the most northern cities like Juarez tho, it feels pretty cold, but passing that the winters in Mexico City, and pretty everywhere ain’t even that cold, it’s very mild, the only reason ya Mexicans have the signature thick fur blankets is because central air conditioning isn’t really a thing in like 98% of average Mexican homes, so it feels chilly cause most houses are meant to keep cool air in. The coastal areas, my god tho, it’s always warm and the huge fruit/avocados is awesome. I have cousins who live close in puerto Vallarta and many people from all over the place come to party. It ain’t THAT cheap but for what they are used to paying, it is lol

This is great! Where I live we say we're going to the beach. Never which beach or which state...just the beach. I love the face on that waiter when you said return the sangria and make it more fun. lol

You made my day too, takk! No, I'm from Indonesia actually and pretty sure we are even cheaper than Portugal haha
@YOURWAY2NORWAY6 жыл бұрын
Aha - yes Asia jhas become very populare as a Norwegian Syden destination. Thailand has been a favourite for some years, but now new destinations like Indonesia, Vietnam and Cambodia are up and coming. And yes you are right, much of this interest is due to beautiful beaches an low prices. Very low prices ;)
@sashasiregar12386 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Bali especially. I know, quite envious of you guys to be able to visit holiday places with lower prices! But wish to visit Norway myself one day :D

Hehehe this was filmed somewhere in 🇵🇹, i heard him talking to the lady from the store in Portuguese he said thank you he knows or learned some Portuguese? As he mentions in the video and yes he spoke more to the waiter in Portuguese, Hehehe greetings from 🇧🇷

I'm not sure if someone mentioned it already in the comments, but in Germany we have the concept of "Syden" too... it is called "Süden“ im Germany. It is nearly the same as you mentioned in your video! The beach, the sun tanning, the fancy sangria... just the idea of going to a hot, exotic place full of tourists when it is cold and snowy in the own country. If you want to know what the essence of "Süden“ is, go hear the song "Ab in den Süden“, it just sums up the whole "Süden“ concept pretty well!
@YOURWAY2NORWAY5 жыл бұрын
Awesome to learn 👌👌 Thanks a lot for enlightning us. Süden is the new Syden 😎🏖

At first, I thought it was a rock, then I realized it was a sock. Was it my imagination, or did it get dirtier as the video went on? That was funny!
