Awesome bream to finish things off at my favourite fishing spot, the winds can really mess your day up there, when it's blowing directly across from side to side, The canal is going to be a favourite on the larger tides, when kings go hunting up there, so glad they left us some access to the canal now, last time I was there I got my ass kicked my taylor, on the sand flat to the right of the canal, and lost about 4 hard bodied lures and about 5 plastics, but great fun on light gear, when they are that size, got me wanting to go back there soon, great video champion,

Thanks a lot! I always think I can do better because it always seems perfect on day of upload, but them maybe a month or two later, you look back and see how it's not as good as I remembered haha. I can't stand to watch my really old videos now. So I know I can't see the issues because I made the video so I ask sometimes. If it's obvious, a lot of people may see it too. If it's subtle or fine, then it'll usually be like this were no one really sees anything that needs changing but that's okay.

Looks like good fun, Nice breambo at the end, persistence pays off. I have fished that bay at least 80-100 times and never fished that bank from memory. Takes me ages to get through all the structure on the other side. Bought some of the shrimp but haven't tried them yet, look pretty good for days when the fish are a bit spooky. I haven't been out bream fishing in 2 months due to a brand new ute engine failing, I'm itching to hear the drag sing. Hitting Cowan on Sunday for some topwater donkeys and got some new stick minnows to try on hulls.

Not at all Daryl. I've seen them in the flesh many times as they are popular here. Take with a grain of salt, I have been told they work best when worked with quick hops to get it moving. I may look into them one day

I use about an arm span length. The days (1 and 2) I couldn't catch bream it was overcast and rainy and the day I did, the sun was out, the people were out and it took it with 15cm of the edge of the clear water lol.

Nice work mate. You should of popped on the other side of that canal along that rock wall. Had lumps along there. That was a fantastic bream. Aaron from Windsor bait and tackle was just near there the other day by the other canal that goes in to it. There was strange stuff being dumped out of lorries in to the canal. Hope it doesn't cause harm to that area. I miss that being my local. It's about a 25min drive now 🤣. Keep up the great videos mate 😎

Right now the water is a bit brown up river thanks to the rain. I recommend staying lower in the systems. Out toward Taren point, Dolls point would be good in Botany. In the Harbour, any of the ferry wharves east of Gladesville should be good

For a beginner how would you let the beginning and know exactly straight away the signs of bream. As I look out on the water that your showing and write down see any action just the wind blowing the water? Thx

Samantha, in clear water I scan the edges of the bay for signs of bream and baitfish. They are within 1 metre of the shoreline so I'm not looking very far or deep into the water. If you pay close attention and look ahead of where you're walking, you can see the bream before they scurry away. Do it too many times and the place will look empty so I don't always keep looking once I know they are there, I stand back and just fish. The wind makes it harder to see them but it also helps them become less wary.

Great session! I like this style of video! Question for you: obviously you will post videos of when you have success, but how consistently do you catch fish? I'm trying to determine whether I'm the unluckiest fisherman in the world :) For many years I was a fishing nerd and put in long hours every weekend but barely caught anything. Mate, I’ve got the same issue since I was born!!! I’ve got tonnes of footages waisted! For example, today, I’ve been fishing from 1:30 to half an hour ago. Not even a bite! Check my channel, I only managed to post 2 videos. Lucky, my niche is not fishing, and you know why? Coz I caught that little time, that I should post once every two months 🤣

I don't want to jinx myself but I back myself to catch fish every session. Make no mistake, I still have my fair share of donuts and streaks of donuts but over time everyone naturally improves with time on the water and understanding of the fish and the conditions. Even if I catch nothing, I learn a lot from it and I think that will be the same for you. Over time, these lean sessions will become less frequent. 👍

@@ShroomFishing Thanks for the reply. The vast majority of my trips I get donuts. It wouldn't bother me so much if I still caught tailor or undersized fish, but..... They're literally donuts. Anytime I caught something decent, I put it down to being a fluke. I also thought my success rate would pick up over time, especially as the more donuts I got, the more time I spent on researching and trying different things and really trying to understand how fish behave and when. I'll keep on plugging.. watching your videos has given me new inspiration to dust off my aging gear!
