If it seems like Justin is hyperfocused, its because he's essentially playing three instruments here, maybe 2 and a half really: 1. His voice, obviously 2. The "Messina", a keyboard harmonizer setup that lets him to duplicate and pitch what's coming out of the sax Regarding the Messina, he can't just play it like a piano, he has to essentially jive with the saxophonist, who is in turn, jiving with his vocals. I'm a massive Bon Iver fan and partly is due to these impressively technical performances.
