Lol, I get up at 4:30, but that's only because I need an hour for walking and hour for playing outside in the garden before I go to work. I guess I still get up at 4:30 on my days off too lol. More time to play outside! Winter makes me so sad though, still dark when I get to work, dark when I leave, 4 days straight with no sun on my face, me no likey. LIVE for the weekends!

🌱 The only plant I didn’t see which you need to get is the verrocosum x serpens!! You’d love it! You see the verro parentage in the backs but the edges are a little smoother and almost give majestic vibes. It sizes up quickly! Also the petioles are so insanely fuzzy and adorable. My frydek died back recently too. I had grown in in greenhouse cabinet conditions and she did not do well adjusting to ambient. I know she’ll grow back now that we are coming into our Canadian summer. I love that you also forget about plants (relatable!) and it’s funny how sometimes that’s exactly what they need! Very cool jungle tiger as always 🐈

Hey, I’m only a few minutes into this one but before I forget, I just wanted to give you a lighting tip - I work in commercial media production. If you want the lights on the plants to look less harsh, you need to raise the overall ambient lighting in the rest of the room. I honestly think the lighting is fine for what you are doing, but I also understand perfectionism. 😂 A bright light bounced off the ceiling and out of camera frame would help. Take a look at Aperture - specifically their Amaran line. It’s a good trade off between power and budget.

When you said "Splendid in the corner", my brain instantly responded "Nobody puts Splendid in a corner!" It's not too long since I last saw the movie, so the legendary line just popped up. So now, new item added to my bucket list: get a splendid and do not put it in a corner. :D And for pests, I use insanely diluted Neudorff Spruzit concentrate when watering plants. This way the plant will get a systemic treatment with Spruzit through their roots. This way I've effectively eliminated thrips' eggs inside the plant cells. Of course, I spray the leaves to remove all pests that can be seen, but I've had only positive outcome with systemic use of Spruzit. Key is not to do excessive systemic treatment, of course, but in northern Finland we have a bug-friendly season outside for only about five months, so there is not that much need for pest control when we have -30C outside with one meter of snow.

@PurpleMonkeyWaffle8 ай бұрын
@@erikm8372 Thats awesome! From my research its great stuff for not damaging the plant which is what I wanted in an affective insecticide. This stuff has 10 times more than most other pyrethrins spray which is awesome for those nasty thrips!!
