I belonged also from Sindh (Pakistan) and heard the actual incidents from my fore fathers but in text books everything was different. But I am really very happy to see that someone like you is here to authenticate this matter with proofs. And not manipulate the situation only because Raja Dahir faith was different. Proud of you.

Raja dahir did not marry his sister , coz that is not allowed in Hinduism if he had done something like that public would have throne him out. It was just after conquest , Muslims started to defame him. Our real hero is Raja Dahir , he did fight and got killed but did not run away like Arabs.

Well if you are at all learning history and trying to get to facts to mend your established beliefs. Perhaps try going further down. Check for how people were converted onto Islam. Refer Quran and Hadith and see if it makes sense for you to accept is as a teachings of a good human, let alone the almighty. Besides, the ones who are converted Muslims today are the same whose ancestors were most tortured in terms of murder, taxation, slavery etc and hence they chose to convert, while their successors (current generation muslims) are making comments like "Our ancestors ruled over these Kafirs ancestors for 800 years" etc. Reallly ??? This is sad and laughable, as if a person has been given a medicine to let loose of his memory and then he starts cursing his own father.

Hypocrisy and lies run rampant here in Pakistan, but I am thankful to our Sindhi elders for making me aware that Pakistani history books depict Muhammad bin Qasim, who was a thief, as a hero, while portraying Raja Dahir, a true hero who fought for his motherland Sindh, as a villain solely because he was a Hindu. In reality, all Sindhis in Pakistan today were originally Hindus before this invasion, and Raja Dahir and other Brahmin Hindus were our ancestors.

I always question about what happened to him after conquering sindh, how the letter reached to Hajaj Bin Yousaf? why i never see my father or uncles saying anything good about the narrative of this mention in text books in their conversations as we belonged to a quite spiritually rooted family but never told us or ask us about if we have something to say. I had this so many more question about this unfortunately to myself as asking questions was and I believe still is consider disobedience. Got into complete different path of life so never actually got the time to look for this myself. I took my O’levels in 1996, when Pakistan Studies was a required subject. Our history book prominently featured Raja Dahir, while Muhammad Bin Qasim was hailed as a Muslim savior of the land. It took me years to unlearn the misconceptions we were taught. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to read and rethink this narrative, though I feel for those who still hold onto these distorted views of history. Misleading an entire nation is one of the gravest wrongs anyone can commit; may Zia ul Haq's legacy remain tarnished. I hope social media can help young people access information and develop critical thinking skills. We are a blessed nation, and the ability to recognize and address our flaws is a rare but valuable virtue.

Buddhist, (Jatts/Rajput one of them) of Sindh supported Daher. Something ignored by all. According to my US professor, pirates were operating from Sindh coastal areas and were attacking Arab and other ships. Arabs asked Raja Daher to control the pirates but he refused. The only logical reason is that he was getting a cut from them and providing security and operational bases from Sindh. Since, he was powerful Raja who fought the Arab army but didn't take action against small pockets of dacoits. The Buddhist and Jatts/Rajputs (one of these two) supported Arab invasion and betrayed Daher because of his tyranny. Also, the Muslim landlord of Sindh supported Muslim League because they didn't want to pay off the debt and interest to Hindu bunyas. In 1936 they passed a resolution for Pakistan, which saved them from paying the large money and stole all the property left by the fleeing Hindus. They started riots so that Hindus leave and confiscating their properties. They did not compensate to anyone. Many Hindu widows who were kicked out of their houses and had no where to go-living in ashrams run by high cast pundits- found refugees by way of second marriage to Arab men.
