Sylvain you have revolutionised KZbin riding advice in just a month or so. Outstanding. You have taken us all to another level and proved what we all suspected. You are one of the best tutors in the biking world, as well as one of the most successful racers, and best of all one of the nicest guys to ever swing a leg over a motorcycle.

Unheard of professional to amateur level interactions here guys! Sylvain you are making huge waves here on KZbin with this kind of content. Pro-level interaction like this has never been done for ANY sport!

This is amazing! A lot of people around me hate it when I geek out about motorcycles and riding skills but the telemetry really exposes so much room for improvement. I wish they could see how much of your speed comes from science. It's so great to learn from a world-class rider to do better on track, and being safer too. Better to be a fast geek than a brave idiot, IMHO. Keep it up Sylvain! Thank you!

95% of "bikers" only knew how to wrist the throttle and don't have any idea about suspension setting, tire, geometry, riding techniques, etc. 5% who interest of this topics are 3% amateur racer (or track day guys), 1% pro racer, 1%motorcycle tuner.

Sylvian, you are a very nice person for doing this and what a great detail to choose a lap from yours where there is a moment where Mike is faster then you. I am sure all this mates will hear about this for the next two years ! :-) Keep up your great and relaxed, but informative videos!

This channel is great! Just watched all the videos in one go :) I ride a K1600 Grand America slowly and mostly two up, but acquiring knowledge from one of the best riders in the world it's awesome for me :) Getting information on how and why to use the motorcycle controls in certain ways, being constantly reminded to use the correct track and look where you want to go for sure can make me become a more efficient, safe and aware rider. Thank you for the knowledge!

What a fantastic thing Mr Guintoli is doing for riders with this channel. Absolutely brilliant info and has already corrected something I was told once which turns out to be wrong. Pushing the bike away from you out of the corners rather than moving your body back up and over to get the bike onto the fat part of the tyre. Really appreciate this information and I will be watching these videos more than once to let it sink in.

This stuff is so amazing. I often saw and heard MotoGP riders looking at those kind of graphs and I didn't know how they read them. Let alonr when they said things like "I compare my telemetry with my team mate..." After watching this video, at least we understand a glimpse of what they're doing. Although of course it would be way more complicated than this. Keep it up, educate us more about riding and MotoGP tech as well.

Hi Sylvain, absolutely brilliant in every way. Having focused on track riding, have you tried riding on the road with this set up ? Are you likely to try a road set up ? I think it would be an interesting comparison especially for road riders. Stay safe and take care on and off the track. Eddie.

Surely this costs money. I hope so. If it's a mini project for stay-at-home then sure, but if you continue I think lots of guys would be interested. Not sure if it would be as good without your comparison laps (limiting the circuits) but between this and the alternatives, this kicks ass. Honestly, it's like getting Federer to give you tennis tips by videoing yourself at the local club - WTF!

Hello Sylvain, I've seen almost all your videos now and you always advice to downshift immediately as soon as the throttle is rolled off and the brakes are on, to use the advantage of the engine brake. This of course applies to four-stroke bikes. What about two-strokes (e.g. 250 gp bike)? Would you advice to do the same or would you let the revs first drop down a little bit (for sake of not stressing the engine too much and risking a seizure) before downshifting? Thanks for your advices.
@SylvainGuintoli
@SylvainGuintoli 3 жыл бұрын
Same for 2 strokes, early downshift is better. Same also for rev’s, just pay attention not too “over” rev’ pass the limiter on the downshifts.
