For me there is ONLY 1 Rambo movie: First Blood. That was an epic movie about a PTSD affected soldier that came home from war and was broken mentally. Sylvester Stallone is a versatile actor who can play all roles with different personalities. Like Rambo, his performance as Rambo is really a soldier and a vindictive man and when he kills a man he is very brutal and fearless and has no other thought but to finish the mission and kill as many as he wants. In Cobra his acting is calm with coolness. In Judge Dredd he was impartial, all he wanted was to establish the law and the people should follow it and he is faithful to his duty. In Tango and Cash he is a good cop and has a goofy attitude. In Assasins, on the other hand, is really different, he is calm and quiet and has perfection and is good at killing. For Rocky, his performance is really unique. A boxer, and his personality he has a soft heart to his fellow a loving and good husband and father of his family and a good friend and considerate man but inside the ring he's true colors comes out, strength, and boxing skills because after he beats you, you really can't forget what he did to you and you really can't match his skill. In Expendables as he is Barney Ross who is the leader of a mercenary group, his character in that movie seems to have combined his characters together to form Barney Ross like Rambo, Cobra, Judge Dredd, John Spartan, Lincoln Hawk , Robert Rath, Gabe Walker, Rocky Balboa (because boxing is Barney Ross ’fighting style).
