real story: im an allo queer person but i saw someone at a friends birthday party with a black ring and i mustered up the courage to ask them if that were an ace ring which they were very suprised happily that i had recognised it! especially since queer issues of any kind arent super well known in my country

I've also heard that space themes are symbols for asexuality. They can be like a purple moon (which is my favorite), to an astronaut teetered to an asexual colored moon. All of these are pretty cool and on Pinterest. Thanks for doing these videos! 🏳️‍🌈🖤🤍💜

While I'm all for knowing the symbols and the sense of community using these can bring, I'd like to point out to my fellow aces that you don't need any of these to fit you and you don't need to use any of these symbol to be ACE. Your identity is valid and it doesn't make you any more or less ace if you use/don't use the common symbols. Invading Denmark is one I’ve seen around, it’s definitely not the most important ace symbol but it does *exist*- I googled it and it seems to be because about 1% of people are ace (about 80 million in the world) and Denmark’s population is *only* 5 million-ish so we can just storm in and take over and make it the land of the aces if we all band together… yay I guess?? 😂

Im autistic asexual - yes, we do love, we fall in love, we feel romantic attraction. I love to cuddle and hold hands but intellectual and emotional stimulation is where its at for me. Can you imagine, we can enjoy life to the fullest, be fulfilled and happy, and have intense emotions. We even have sex, some of us, but we dont “need it” we dont seek it out. We dont have a “I want him/her” feeling or thought. 🤷‍♀️ we just dont care about it, so your obsession with it looks funny to us, weird, absurd, or even disgusting sometimes.

And I for some reason don’t really like cake so that quote definitely fits me. My sister think that I’m gay, which I’m not surprised considering I imagine she only notices that I don’t show interest in the opposite sex (even though I don’t show interest in either). I am obssed with How to Train Your Dragon series and it's tv show spin offs, I have a cute Toothless plushy that I made at Build A Bear, I have a dragon myth book, I kept my brother's dragon drawings that he let me have, and I have a cute necklace with with an ace of hearts charm. I had no idea about the dragons and the ace cards. Was it fate? Lol I also have always been drawn to the black and purple color asthetic. It's so mysterius, elegent, and "dangerous" looking.

I don't like purple or anything else stereotypically ace and hate wearing jewellery, especially on my hands, help 💀 Should I make a shirt with "I AM ASEXUAL searching for fellow aces" on the front and back? Feels like my only hope at this point for any human connection. Relationships without sexual attraction/the change of sex seem to have become utterly unimportant to most people. I have literally no friends. I have 2 people in my life, because they are sexually attracted to me. Otherwise I would literally have no one. But I don't want a monogamous r+s relationship, never have, never will. I'm not very sex repulsed, but my ideal relationship would be queerplatonic with lots of cuddles, ideally poly. I guess I just want a really close friendship with 2 people. How do I find this 😭

I know far too many people who like dragons but are very allo to try and identify someone based on an obsession with dragons. The black ring seems more my speed as a symbol I'd go with if I decide that's how I want to "out" myself.
