I started having concussions at 12 years old playing football. Stopped playing at 26. I played strong side linebacker and middle linebacker. I probably had a mild concussion every week for 14 years. 24 weeks a year x 14 years..300+ concussions. I'm 39, I am very impulsive, struggle to concentrate, get angry easily, have Insomnia, tinnitus and struggle at work. I have a 2 yr old and a 4 year old. I think about suicide every few days. I feel my life has no meaning and I'm barely getting. I'm ready to stop living. If you care about your children don't let them play football. I don't wish my life on my worst enemy. Save your kids.

@Traverse1010 I played sports (hockey and football growing up and had 5 concussions between the two sports) I was a extreme athlete I raced fourwheelers and competed in snowmobile competitions professionally up until I was 24. The majority of my brain injuries came from those sports. I had a terrible TBI from a fourwheeler accident that left me knocked out for a half hour and had a spinal injury where I lost feeling from my neck down to my legs when I woke up but, thankfully I recovered from it. I had blood coming from my ears and for awhile I had brain fluid leaking from my nose before it was fixed. I went through about 5 years of horrible mental issues as far as uncontrollable anger and fits of rage, suicidal tendencies and bad alcohol problems

No internet he was always a shit human being. If you actually just do some research on the guy before that hit, there’s a history of questionable decisions regarding behavioral issues. I think at one point in time around 2012-2013 era he meant well and wanted to just be the football star, but he dug his own grave and let his ego get the best of him. Being from Pittsburgh and the Northside, it pains me to say it considering he was one of the best receivers the organization ever had, but his life isn’t going to end well... it’s going to end in tragedy.

Nothing is impossible. That being said, brain injuries, as of now, are extremely hard to research or cure. We dump billions for cures to Alzheimer's and dementia but we don't have much knowledge yet of how it even progresses. We are getting closer for sure but it might take years. There are some options to slow down the process tho so you can do the best to what you are dealing by taking those precautions and treatments. Wish we focused and educated more on research for diseases instead of spending a lot of it elsewhere. Technology advances quickly but we definitely can make it quicker by focusing more on biology and medicine.

Invest one really good Amino acids. Look into Dr. Amen, he studies the brain and has changed my life and my hubby's life. 1 Amino acid reversed all of the symptoms of Asperger's that my husband had. It took about 4 years for all of the symptoms to go away but he's a new person! I take a few Amino acids and my anxiety and depression are greatly reduced, I have better mental clarity and can comprehend things alot better. It takes time with Amino acids but it was life changing for me and my hubby. Dr. Amen has tests that you can take to determine if your brain lacka what it needs to function.

Mr Wilks, the doctors all suffer from law suit-itis. There are solutions, the best advice I could offer is have a "sit-down" with your health care provider, state that your quality of life is more important than your ability to sue doctors, and drug companies. Then start looking for a neurologist, these are the folks that have every drug known to man available. I would suggest the youngest doctor you can find. Good luck.
