Wish that there was a way to do it with the larger portrait style screen. Unfortunately it's stuck in the top portion only in Explorers with the larger screen

Not using a data USB cable is one of the common fixes people find works when CarPlay and Android Auto isn't working

That's what she said There technically is a 10.1" version is the ST, King Ranch and Platinum but it doesn't utilize the screen space as well as this one

I will order the Explorer PHEV 2024 soon but can you play KZbin from your phone into the car sound system via Bluetooth? Does it support C port of new iPhones?

Where are you in the world where Ford has a PHEV Explorer?! The 2024 models are on this old sync3 which does allow audio streaming through your phone. There's a USB-c port but some iPhone users are finding that port isn't transferring data so you just need to get an adapter that goes from USB-c to USB-a!

e "T" cetera, not eXcetera. My remote start works only occasionally. What's with that? Is the remote window feature only on SOME cars? 5, 10, even 30 minutes after car is off, there are multiple clicks heard index the hood. Suggestions? On the hatch, at closing control, there is an "i" mark. Why? Is there another battery in the back on the drivers' side, or under the floor? There is a battery symbol & electronic "z" symbol, also. Is there an easy way to find keyless touch pad code, & where is it? Dealer gets $65. to plug in computer to get factory code for the door pad.

Let me insult the way you speak... and then ask for help 🤣 Remote start you might not be close enough or the battery is dying. Remote window is only in the higher trims of the Explorer, it's not in the base or XLT. The clicking is most likely just solenoids or valve opening or closing. "i" is indicator for you button is to open the liftgate. Single battery in the Explorer unless you have a hybrid. Keyless pad can be purchased aftermarket from any Ford dealer

I’m having to fully set up my phone (android) every time I get back into our Explorer. What am I doing wrong? I can’t imagine this is how it should work.

Older or newer android phone? Is the device not in the phone list when you turn the vehicle back on?

Well, I figured it out for anyone following this for a fix. There was settings in my phone that needed to be changed. It wasn’t no fault of the vehicle.

From what I gather it works great with Android phones but is absolute shit with iPhone unless it’s connected via USB. Sync and CarPlay do not jive on Bluetooth.

Ford's Sync3 system only supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay when you're connected over USB, there's no support for wireless with either. Regular bluetooth connections have been fine in every Ford vehicle I've reviewed when connected over bluetooth

I had someone mention on a Corsair video that he was able to use Forscan on a Lincoln Corsair to add in some extras but haven't seen anyone do that for the Explorer yet...
