unfortunately i dont think that is the case. i striaght up asked AJ if he will ever do metal again and he has no plans. He could have just been lying. but he seems pretty honest. I messaged him on instagram. this was a few months before this video

crazy to think that THA's debut album came out almost 20 years ago and even though we don't talk about them a lot anymore, their influence quietly makes its way into so many neo-classical tracks today

Wow this was EPIC, two of my favorite guitarist ever playing together !! Nice to see AJ playing live its been awhile, AJ is an inspiration for a long time and Digital Veil was and still is the best album i ever heard, so much work and emotion in this album make it a masterpiece... i am not a pro guitarist just an advance player i did tries some songs from this album but i couldn't finish one song right, this is damn too tough... AJ and Charlie are probably the most promising and best music creator of this era... I will follow you guys until my grave. After 13 years im still waiting for another album of Human Abstract and still have hope to see the Digital Veil members back together and still waiting for a crazy technical lullaby. Love from Montreal

It is an absolute fucking shame that this has 53k views. Having AJ come back to this type of arrangement is what I have missed since THA turned off. I would be so fucking blessed if I could see them come together to show the current age what is up. Travis, AJ, Dean, Henry and Brett are brilliant together and more than they know.

AJ is the reason that I learned how to play sweeps on the guitar. I can't say how many times I listened to that first Human Abstract album, but it was so foundational for me.

This made me tear up a bit. I remember in 2006/2007, I was just STARING at AJ as an inspiring guitarist during a Human Abstract show, just awestruck, just hoping for a future in music. Fast forward to today, I'm an account manager in a large fortune 500 company and not a guitar in sight, wondering what happened. I KNEW Syncatto was special, even when I first heard it, because it reminded me of my youth. My passion. Edit, now I'm ugly crying. 😭 please tell AJ I still have my signed Nocturne album. Charlie, im SO F'IN HAPPY you got AJ out from retirement.

Yes oh gosh Iove this and Human Abstract are a big deal. It’s truly special to hear Aj play again!! I’m glAd he’s doing okay and still playing guitar . That inspires me a lot! Thank you for this. By the way I can’t play super fast compared to you guys so hope nobody checks my channel for shredding. I do love to play solos and try to shred in my style though :)
