@mancuniancandidatem5 ай бұрын
It's possible without the internet non of this would be remembered anymore. All the VHS machines are broken, the cd players are broken, damn, even iPods are no more. My friends in the 90s would mock me for still listening to The Police. It was hell. Grunge, Acid House, Jungle, Garage, Rap, Acid Jazz, Brit Pop. Friggin horrible decade. The first few years of the internet were great. I think it's more, cell phones and the way the internet has been manipulated that is more of a problem. There was a brief period where broadband was fast enough to play KZbin videos and there was no advertising. I think that was before Google purchased KZbin. I actually had hope in the initial years of the internet but it's been so corrupted by big businesses and algorithms that it's basically become toilet TV.

This is a neat song. I can't say Andy Summers is THE greatest guitarist, but... What I consider the mark of a great guitar player is how they can bond what they compose into a song to make it unique to that song, and no other. When you hear the first few bars, you know immediately what song it is. He does a great job. Songs like "Mississippi Queen," "Gimmie Three Steps," "Layla," and others have the same trait. That's why Vai, Malmsteen, Satriani, and Wylde never have huge hits. They don't bond.

The one thing you can see about Stewart in the background, energy. Not ADHD energy just force. Tall, vascular, appropriately plus extended limb length. A hydraulic tree form made of 6 and hitting the skins as so. It’s impressive. He and Danny Carey share a kinetic body form and dimensional proportion on the kit. And it carries noticeable signs of fatigue less constant pace a power.

There is practically no chord too challenging even during fast changes since studying Dave's catalog. This song is haunting, mostly due to the shade the guitar lines lend it. The Police didn't even have time to record their own albums! They'd get to the studio and within 10 - 15 minutes after hearing Sting's demos, the band recorded 2 or 3, or at most 4 takes for each song. Then (particularly after recording Zenyatta Mondatta) slept a few hours and went back on a world tour. Gus- I think he had it tucked in his hand all along. At first it looked like he had one stuck near the rear pickup that I thought disappeared, but watching another 30 times killed that theory. He does have spares tucked around the pick guard, but I think it was in his hand through the git change.
