@@bjamz3784 Are you my old boss or something 🤣nah but fr our company sold tech equipment with tech support, so yeah sales would bring in the revenue but if we wanted to retain any customers at all we had to provide top notch tech support. Then new ownership never researched what we were selling, cut the IT team down to 10%, company was sunk in 2 years.

It's the same in airlines, the only people not wearing t-shirts (MAYBE a polo) are the non operational staff ie - the blunt end of things. Where I formerly flew for as a pilot you get dragged into random day courses on bullshit that no one cares about at the company HQ every so often and I'd just wear a clean plain t-shirt, tidy jeans and normal shoes. I'm not being paid for my fashion sense and uniform wasn't needed but the amount of grads and lower level staff that would be in suits was honestly depressing. I wish they hadn't the need to spend money on dressing like that.

I work in IT, were are last to be told if there is an IT requirement, were the first to blamed if something goes wrong even if its not IT related, because of this poxy program all every one thinks we do is say gave you tried switching it off and on again…admittedly that is 60% of the job 😂. The weirdest part is, when we do our jobs right, there are no IT issues, so people think they we’re not doing anything, and get tagged as lazy catch 22! 🤣

S2e1 is quite simply the funniest episode of sitcom ever aired. Thats including the office and faulty towers and father ted it is just a perfect show to make you laugh out loud uncontrolled. When i first watched it it was on tv,no streaming.i had to watch the repeat later in the week as i missed about half of it because i was laughing so much

I think you could make a programme like this now, it all depends on the presentation and context. It uses the classic theme of "I am a man so I have to be manly and not do girly things" but I don't think it was shown as being a good thing - Roy is hardly a sympathetic character but Moss just rolls with it and couldn't care less what anyone thinks. I'm trans and I don't mind the slightly outdated stuff - if it's funny I'll laugh - The IT Crowd and Father Ted are two of my favourites, they absolutely destroy me 😂 Thanks for the amazing reactions as always

I worked in IT, you never get recognition. IT get the blame for everything, I remember someone excusing he was late due to the system being down but the problem was the system was up and working all the time. IT is in the basement and is hidden away.

In trying to sum up Moss' character you missed something considering who wrote the series. Moss is Dougal if he had not gone to play footie with Father Damo but stayed on the console and moved onto Computers and D&D etc (there's a D&D episode later in the series, which also happens to be quite moving)..
