Is it just me or do all the demos of the VH4 module just sound really lackluster? Especially compared to the Deliverance, IIC and Uber modules.

Id say that it comes down to the power section used, the VH4 is definitely distinct and I have found that while by itself its not particularly great, it is one of the best amps to blend in a two amp sound. I have gotten great results using the IICP, Uber and Pittbull with this amp. If I had to name a Synergy hi-gain that is lacking, IMO its the Deliverance, but I have had some sweet tones with it, just in the middle of the road gain wise.

Yeah I’ve only played a D60 once and it came across as a very refined and smoothed out JCM800 type thing but with more saturation than an 800. It wasn’t high gain by any stretch but it’s easily one of the best mid to moderate gain amps I’ve ever plugged into. Another notable example is the Badcat Hotcat 30R. That was plugged into a Bogner shiva 2x12 at a guitar center years ago and it sounded unbelievably good.

@@FastRedPonyCar I owned a Pittbull Ultralead GEQ from 2006-2016 and Synergy nailed it. I played one at Bellevue American music in 2005 and I was dead set on owning that sound. Still best clean /crunch to high gain amp I ever owned! It was an 1996. Id actually say the VH4 actual amp and cab I played in 2004 was amazing, the couple SLOs I played were just a notch below the VH4 and I didnt realize until I finally played a Friedman BE how much I loved the HBE, so for me, I could plug into a HBE or Fryette and be content for a long time, but hey thats me. I appreciate your sharing and I will keep obtain more Synergy gear, next I want that 6505 but the Dr Z may win the next buy.

Yes you can! That is part of how they are designed.
