Also I really need to start trying to layer in mono, seems like a really great way to make your sounds stay in phase and still sound huge when turned into stereo, awesome technique brother 💪🏼

You can! give it time, if it takes too long try to change your strategy or do something else music related for a while :) remember, on KZbin you only see the ones that work.

How to do you make the pitch bend like the tweekaz. Every time to lead has a pause there's a clean pitch bend. Can you make a tutorial on that ?

speaking of sidechaining, is there even any in hardstyle? or is it just dummy subtle. cause I rarely really hear a pump in the melodies

Sometimes a good mix is not about hearing something, it's about not hearing something :P the entire goal of sidechaining has been misused... the original goal was not to hear it.

In hardstyle, people usually sidechain the reverb to the lead. The reverb is more quiet when the leads are playing, but gets louder when the leads stop

How do you approach getting a right Melody. I heard you saying change your strategy....but what's your strategies?

Let's say you are always forcing yourself to make a melody... you open up Sylenth1 and wait for inspiration... Sometimes it helps to change to a different sound like a piano or something... start having fun with chords or in case you have a keyboard just start hitting notes doesn't matter if you can play it. If an original melody doesn't work, try listening to soundtracks or other music on the internet, there's always a way!

Why all leads to the same mixer channel? While you can route all to another one

This is true, but not extremely necessary... In the end all similar leads should become a single main lead sound, i do split the harmonies and chords because they have different midi notes. FL studio can get messy really fast, so i like to keep it as tight and clean as possible :)

massive fan of your talent and unique style Marcus. a musical prodigy at work! :) I know we are all friends in the art of music, im wondering if anyone could help me. I can make melody's naturally very easily and quickly, I can build chords, top layers, basses that I think sound really powerful together. but when i add a kick it sounds like an entire layer is missing and lacks energy. i add more effects and processing, eq a bit more but still the same issue. i can never get the "energy" in a track. anyone hit this hurdle and how do you overcome it because building tracks with good melodys and progression comes natural to me, but my own unique sound design even after years of making music is never at a quality i feel comfortable releasing at. thanks to anyone who has any tips.

@@quinten2083 professional/great sounding leads, come from good layering and even better mixing. Try to remake as many tracks as you can untill you can hear layers in a track and identify what type of synths are playing etc. Good luck with the learning process man!

He does not overcompress the reverb and delay, and uses much more than the avarage... + PreDelay on reverbs + Lot of layered thinner lead sounds
