In this video, I experiment with the powerful voice-changing plugin Vocoflex and morph different voices together. I demonstrate how to use the plugin to make a harmony from one vocal track. Additionally, I use the same singer as input for the mimic voice to see what happens. I also show how to mimic other voices, including not-so-great vocals, piano, synth, and bass.

For pitch (gender), what works better? 1) The pitch (gender) slider WITHIN Synthesizer V, or 2) Running Synthesizer V through Vocoflex and changing the pitch slider there?

Hi Greg, great plugin and nice demo, so if i'm understanding this rightly Dreamtonics have just created a plugin that means you only have to have 1 master voice for Synthesizer V, which can then be morphed into basically any style of voice you like, male, female, soprano, tenor?, i know a basic capability to do this is already built into Syn V, but this sounds a lot more advanced. This plugin would seem to be a great complimentary application to Synth V, can't wait to hear more i'm definitely going to D/L the beta.

What would happen if you dragged in a snippet of a full tract song?

I tried using an entire song as the input, and since it is designed for vocals, those shined through the most with all kinds of other crazy stuff going on. I have experimented with using instruments as input and also as a source for mimicking. The results have been mixed, but interesting. For example, I have noticed a beatbox-like sound with drums. Even though VocoFlex was designed for vocals experimentation is always fun, and it can lead to mixed results.

can you try the opposite of what u did in minute 8 basically can it make the bad singing better ? , assume you have a good vocal reference ( just the tone/melody ) you try to sing the words needed can it fit your pitch of singing into the vocal reference ? thanks for sharing !!

You can use the audio-to-midi function in Synth V and tune the vocals, but it will also be a different singer. I've done it, and it works very well. I haven't made any videos on that yet, but perhaps soon.

Is the lowest latency still too high for live use? If so, might it sound cool being just on a delay send/buss?

They sent me a beta update to fix some issues; there is also a standalone version.

Can it change one guitar tone into another? Or violin into cello? Or just pitch shift a cello way down n see if it sounds cool!

Probably not, but I will try. The pitch shifting might work, though.

You don't need Vocoflex for that. I think that she can sing in other languages, but I would check with Eclipsed Sound first to make sure.

No, this only changes the _timbre_ of the voice, but doesn't alter anything else. So the pronunciations remain the same.
