This looks like the best internally organized synthesizer I've seen so far. So many of them have looked like a bunch of different sized boards in random places inside the case with random cables running between them. This looks like someone planned how everything was going to go into the case before they designed it.

power supply, DAC are some of the main culprits. That 7805 runs hot. I tried a Murata DC to DC unit in replacement but it was not successful. Great video and nicely shot

@@Synthchaser well I totally ensured that I had it installed correctly and powered up. Nothing then the converter IC went pop, magic smoke and all. Thinking I had made an error, I doubled checked. The murata was a 5v 1.5A unit supposedly direct swap. My p5 PSU has sockets so I can easily swap the regulators over. I successfully used a replacement DC>DC in my moog source before . I am going to try again with a new regulator and see what happens with the Prophet
