Owning a Prophet 5 and an OB-Xa, after watching your videos I have gained a new respect for my local tech who services mine. Trouble shooting a circuit board is one thing, but the bushings, DAMN!

I've done a few of those keyboard restorations and sore at the end of spring replacement, is an understatement.. Lol You should put a clock on the table during the process to actually show just how much time is involved in the repair..

When I watched the video back with the time lapse and the music it looked like it could have actually been fun. But keybeds are miserable, by far my least favorite part of synth repair.

Your videos are amazing, one of the best channels on DIY synth repairs. Quick question, what method do you recommend for the whitening of the keys. Apparently the one most people recommend is the Salon Care 40 under the UV lamp or for even better results Salon Care 40 in 160F of hot water. Would love to know your method and what worked best for you.

Hey helloo. Came across your video. So precisely done... I have a little problem . I have a new korg Nautilus synth keybed. All the keys are working. But one of the black key is making a noise, like spring. When Although it works... All other keys are so fine Please give me a solution.

Thanks! It's the same for the Pro Ones with the J-wire keybeds. Some of the later ones have a membrane style keybed which is different.

Why is the busbar so thin? Isn't it more stable with a bigger metal bar? Is it possible to update it with a modern fatar key?
