can you imagine how much of a musical genius you would have to be in order to write this?

It's not musical genius per say. The way composition works, this song comes from other songs and chords learned by the composer. Mostly in the early stages of acquiring music theory.

Hahaha, I made that comment 7 years ago... I gotta add that i seriously injured my hands in the process. How naive I was. I'm fine now and mostly focused on jazz piano, but this piece is what really sparked my interest in the instrument. Lesson learned: don't try to learn something really hard if it's way above your level, no matter how much you want to😂
@Joyblossom20103 жыл бұрын
@ You started piano around the same time I did then. I started in April 2012. And I was just like you, playing pieces like this just months in. Needless to say, I have also learned the same lesson. When I played things before I was ready, a lot of times I ended up butchering it in some aspect. Be it the timing, accuracy, tone or overall quality. These years have taught me that playing piano is not just about hitting the right notes. There is so much more that goes into it.

It's not impossible to play the song ! Play the video at 0.25x speed first .. go in short sequences .. Play the same sequence again and again .. a day, a week if you have to .. Then continue the next sequence .. It's all in the fingering .. once you've familiarise with the fingering you'll get the hang of it ! You can do it !! 😊 Remember: Some notes play before other notes , some notes play together with other notes , Some notes play after other notes .. Understanding this simple concept makes practising much easier

Pedals won't bend time to let you play a chord that is too big. You have to use your right hand to play the higher note of the left hand, it's only an octave away, perfectly doable, That note should be green (right hand) imo.

This will cause your computer screen to go blank momentarily, then the screen will display a number of results. @nal85037 жыл бұрын
Just practice the run alone, very very slowly. When you can play it from memory several times in a row cleanly, ramp the speed up a little bit. Repeat until you reach the full tempo. If you're the kind of person that wants to sit down for hours on end until they get it down, make sure to take at least 10-30 minutes of a break (where you do nothing at all for at least 5 minutes to reset your brain). If you just practice it for a little bit every day it still shouldn't take you much longer than 1-2 weeks to get to full speed though. It's a simple and short run after all. Also, note how it is just the same four notes repeated and then figure out two or three hand placements that allow you to minimize the movement between the octaves (whatever feels comfortable to you).

Amazing midi! Since you've done a couple of Zohar's arrangements, any chance you're working on Zohar's "Shevat, the Wind is Calling" from Xenogears? @laurensvr777 if u got the sheet music it will tell u when to use the right hand only at some parts. usually the three notes that are grouped together, but any note with a bracket is played with the right hand when it is in the bass clef and vice versa....but god dam is it worth it. never get sick of this tune
