Just a small correction on 1:15, linoleic acid is an omega 6 fatty acid but it's not a 6 carbon fatty acid, it's 18 carbons.

What a coincidence! I recently helped correct the Pharmacology exams of 3rd year Pharmact students with my Professor. One of the questions was: "Why are prostaglandinE2 analogs often prescribed concomitantly with NSAIDS if patients are to use them rather long-term?" The answer is in the video of course ;)

Hello, thank you for an informative video, loved it. I had a question. In 4:15 you mentioned that PGI2 inhibits platelet activation and formation. Should it not be the opposite? As NSAIDs like Aspirin reduce platelet function.

You have wronged COX-1 and COX 2. Pg I2 and PG E2 are synthesized by COX-2 PATHWAY not COX 1 PATHWAY. similarly PG A2 is synthesized by COX 1 PATHWAY. Cited from LIPPINCOTT BIOCHEMISTRY BY DENSIE R FERRIER WOLTERS KLUWER
