Is it ok to remove the breech off the air cylinder while it's still pressurized???

depressurize everything before taking anything apart..safe practice. You don't want shit to happen with 3000psi of force behind it.

You had commented that the pellet is easier to push through the stock barrel towards the end of the barrel. The skirt of a pellet is very thin and is what engages the rifling. After being engaged to the rifling for a few inches the tension between skirt and barrel diminishes. So, your barrel isn’t loose in the second half at all. FYI

no, it's not uniform looser at the end..had barrels that got loose then tight then loose so I know they are not uniform

@@DaBinChe ok done, but now here's another issue, l can feel there's an air blowing out from the hammer while shooting, l mean, from the hole where we adjust the hammer spring. What should l do ?

@@lixv2432 o-ring(s) are leaking, get a o-ring rebuild kit, careful not to damage them when putting everything back

Hi DaBinChe, I have been thinking about getting one of these barrels for my .22 synrod which used to shoot fairly acceptable but no longer does quite so well. I wish you had gone a little deeper into the project and showed me how to get to where you are now and all the way to the complete installation of the new barrel and any problems you may have had along the way. I've heard that these barrels foul up pretty quickly, how many shots do you get before you have to clean it? Do you have to take the barrel out of the receiver to clean it with a brass brush or a bore snake? How do I take off the top portion of the receiver from the air tube and s that necessary? Did the transfer port line up well? Does the barrel need the recessed O-rings like on the original Crossman barrel? These new synrods are a lot different from the Gereration 1 Marauders and am not quite sure about the internal workings ... heck, the darn bolt doesn't even come out the same way as the Gen 1 does. Thanks for making the video and I hope you will make another one showing us the complete project from start to finish!

+John Miles Haven't had a chance to play with the synrod only the prod. The tighter barrel lowered the FPS by about 50. I still need to shoot a tin or so to break in the barrel then I'll start tuning. For cleaning I just use fishing line and tie patches along, first one or two will have cleaner then 3 or 4 dry then lube. Seems like airgun barrels don't need a brush if you do use a brush make sure you take the pellet probe o-ring out first. Taking the barrel/receiver off the air chamber is via the 4 allen bolts on top of the receiver. I never had a 1st gen mrod but folks that do have said that the 2nd gen is easier to work with. When I have the chance I'll do more videos on the marauders.

Do you mean you want to use a FX barrel on your benjamin? I don't now what the dimensions are on the FX barrel but at the very least it needs to be machine. The Marmot Militia barrel is specificially made for the Marauder and has more precise groups. If a FX barrel is what you want then I suggest getting the new FX that is coming out forget the name

the screw that holds the barrel in under the action so you have to separate the action from air tube
