Good info, thanks for taking the time to put the video up. Please consider that the background music adds nothing to the content and if anything makes it harder to follow along for older guys like me. Thank you.

Actually the background music is atrociously annoying. Good video otherwise.

Thanks for taking the time and effort to film this repair. I just can't for the life of me understand why you would go through the trouble of taking this all apart and even doing some deburring and not even touch the valve assembly/poppet?? That is THE main cause of leaks in many PCP air rifles. Again thanks for the video.

Really nice job. I can appreciate when a job is done with extreme thought and attention to detail. I am getting ready to do the same to mine and will do it just like you did. I also am pretty handy with whatever I want to do but like you I have never had mine that far disassembled. KZbin is great for things like this and your video is top notch.

Chuck, Thank you very much for the kind words! Sounds silly, but it actually makes it worthwhile to do these vids when you get positive feedback. Thanks again and good luck with your tear- down.

Why do some people think that they need to have "background music" (noise) in their otherwise, good video's?? Very distracting... from what could be very good information.

Excellent video. Thanks for taking the time and effort to share this. I have the same problem. Do you happen to know the size of the o-rings you replaced?

Excellent video!!! I have a Maximus that loses half the air in just 6 hours so I have an o ring kit on the way.

I had my gun stored for some time with pressure; before it would eventually lose the air if it was sitting for a long time. This time, the kept noticing that the pressure was not being lost for several days and it was odd, I decided to shoot once and when I did, it started leaking after the shot, is there an seal that opens momentarily and is supposed to close after the timed shot? Mine appears to be stuck in the open position because the air started leaking a lot at the bore and it emptied the air. Any idea what could it be? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Sounds as though your valve poppet is leaking. There can be several reasons, the first may be some debris is caught underneath the poppet and valve face. Sometimes you can shoot it several times in a row unloaded and it will dislodge the debris. But if you are actually hearing a leak from the barrel the poppet may be damaged. Also try backing off your hammer spring and striker it is possible but not probable it is pressing on the valve stem and causing the leak. Those are the easy things to try first.

@@OutdoorsMaui There was major leak and even when retracting the hammer, it would not do anything, I dry shot a couple of times before it completely emptied the air. I will have to disassemble and see if there is anything obvious. I put my finger at the tip of the bore because the hissing sound was a lot and there was a lot of pressure from it. I'm guessing it may need lubed but who knows, the an o-ring may be damaged. Where can I find kits to repair the .22 Marauder and what oil should I use to lube the o-ring and the components? Thanks in advance.

@@scientist100 Amazon has kits and O ring assortments. Only use 100% silicone oils and grease never use petroleum based oils. "Super lube" can be had on Amazon for $5. Worls great
