This build was said to be shadow nerfed in the new elden ring update. Im here to show you that the impenetrable thorns spell is just as strong as before but ive made it even stronger now with a few honest buffs like white mask, lord of blood talisman, and the NEW sacred bloody flesh buff. This build gains additional buffs from our gear like white mask, the rakshasa set, staff of the guilty, and seppuku! Utilizing the maternal staff arcane scaling, we can achieve over 1,000 bleed buildup and upwards of 50,000 damage from our spell impenetrable thorns! Edit: You can use alberiches set if you want, i didnt because i also included a weapon 9:30 alberiches set only provides a buff for the spell and only on the head chest and hands, no buff from his pants. so you would only want to use the chest or hands here. i just prefer rakshasa for an overall damage buff and better armor stats but yeah use whatever you want lol

@@nxvh9062 Agreed. 150 is stupid. My NG+5 FTH/STR char (pre dlc) is level 360 and my my NG+2 DEX/ARC char (that I started dlc with on NG+2) is level 240 and counting. Probably 250 by the time I am on NG+3. I have multiple characters that are around level 150 but I am not even done with NG on them. 150 is too low, it should be minimum 250.

I'm confident that this will be safe the only reason perfume got nerfed is cuz the glitch where you aim it at the ground. Impenetrable thorns is powerful but only when player use all the right talismans and stats and armor to make it so. Nothing with the spells itself

Any advice on an INT-ARC spellblade/halfcaster? My read so far has been to only hit stat minimums for FAI and INT then just pile into dex & arc, as the current infusions make INT-ARC melee a nightmare.

Jellyfish Shield buff in left hand I find is about equal or better than having the thorn staff in the left hand. It increases all damage by 20% for 30 seconds. I never do seppuku or sacred bloody flesh. I only use white mask, the blood talisman, spell talisman, golden vow, and jellyfish shield buff.

used a slightly different version of this on the final boss yesterday, stats were different so I could still use the black knight shield and elden beasts sword because it's aow does a lot of damage to him in the first phase, ca. 3-5K per hit. The boss was still the hardest I've ever fought, impossible without a shield, took me 5 hours trying anything out and then another 3 to finally kill him with the thorns and the sword. so thanks. Im never gonna fight him again lmao. its like he's on NG+7 even though I had all 50 scadu fragments and the highest possible resistances, still one or two shot me. Before the update he felt much easier for some reason, almost had him on my 3rd attempt, did they nerf everything else but buff him or was he somehow bugged for me ...?

Tried a few tips for fighting radhan, none worked for me, never got him below 50%. Impenetrable thorns with a few magic and blood buffs, and he melted.

And she also released it at more or less the same time :P I did try your version of the older build, and just ran around killing mobs mostly with it (I can't find any more bosses, and I havent even beaten the game..big L) and I was kinda underwhelmed, but it obviously is WAY more potent against bosses or bigger enemies as shown on your videos and waifu video. Unsure if I have another respec in me xD but maybe :P Didn't get to try the rolling spark lightning bottle at all before the nerf, so using something utterly broken before its nerfed would be fun!

It would probably be best if you level up mind and endurance then arcane for more bleed then intelligence for more damage.

You're level 713. Just use what you want. You'll deal a lot of damage regardless. The best staff at 80/80+ INT/FTH is the Prince of Death's staff, as far as I'm aware. Last I checked, it gets up to 430+ spell buff. In terms of spells, Night Comet is a top pick. Enemies won't dodge it, and it deals great damage. Another good pick is Magic Glintblade, a very spamable spell, and since it is delayed, enemies will dodge when you cast it and still get hit by the spell. As for other spells I'd say the finger sorceries might be worth looking into, I hear they're good. And if you do use them (I'm not totally sure) but the Maternal staff he uses in the video might be better than the PoD's staff as it boosts finger sorceries, but you'd have to test it. Night Maiden's mist is always fun. Oh, I almost forgot! Carian Slicer is one of the best sorceries for CQC, always nice to have that. Gavel of Haima is good too. Anyway, this has gotten long enough but as you can see there are PLENTY of great sorceries. Just pick your favorites and be on your way.

Alberich's Robe boosts thorn sorceries 6%, so you could be hitting harder still.

Pretty sure Rakshasa gives a 7% boost to all damage per piece so Alberich's set is worse. Though you would be taking less damage which is also a consideration.
