Serj’s scathing delivery in the second verse sends chills up my spine every time. Sadly, the lyrics stand just as truthful and relevant now as they did back when this was released in 2003. One of the greatest protest songs ever written.

John seems to hold some beliefs very contradictory to SOAD's manifesto as he is very openly a trump supporter. Naturally this causes a lot of tension between him and Serj especially, of course they love each other very deeply as SOAD have always had a sort of brotherhood, just John holds some controversial beliefs and defends them fiercely

This was filmed on my 14th birthday. I remember walking down town in the frozen streets of my small town that day so depressed about the announcement of the war. I had no idea these protests were happening, but a few months later, I saw this video. It was my intro to SOAD and the war protests both. Knowing there were so many people out there who felt the same, and finding this amazing music, helped get me through those horrible teen years of war.

The band has stayed true it wasn’t just Serj who wrote the lyrics it was Daron as well, the band as a whole has this view, they are still against war in a modern society, even though johns a right winger he is against war. He’s more of a businessman so naturally he believes in right wing polices. Even since their first album they’ve been anti war, against fascism, they are populists. They believe everyone has a right to live and live in peace. Not be played in a political game of Thrones.

Aaron Williams corruption has everything to do with it. The US doesn’t get in so many wars because they are bad at negotiating.
