He's liked it a lot of processing and showed me his setup. It was almost like autodyne for metal. It sounds killer, but I doubt Serj has any processing and could fill a room with his voice. I tried that dude set up, and it's a safety net bc I didn't have to project at nearly the volume I assumed. Thus, I could change the attack of my vocals way easier around my natural tones..... ps I still warm up with ashes of the wake, and if the bug gets me, I still can play every song off that album. The point of the song seems to have gone over many people’s heads. The song is more satirical than literal, and is made so to highlight the hypocrisy and endless violent cycles of a ‘Holy War’. Anyone familiar with the band knows they are firmly anti war and anti organized religion. Which is why it’s strange to see so many comments quoting “God wants us to go to war” as if they’re endorsing war ‘in Jesus name!’ when they are in fact, pointing out how ridiculous and harmful that concept is. But I don't think they're calling out Turkish people here since "we will fight the heathens" seems to refer to popular propagandic reasoning for war; Bush did it with Iraq, Hitler did it with Jewish people, ect.
