I was just talking about this too. Every instrument is so distinctly recognizable, you could take any one out and play it solo, and its obviously SOAD. I love that they’re not just a guitar heavy band that sounds like the others.

Its certainly one of them, but there are so many more that have different styles with similar or even higher complexity. If you guys are interested in an example, check the drum cam videos from Havocs drummer Pete Webber. Havoc Songs use ... different paces and mix them up, its crazy imo. :D
