Now we are seeing slipknot again this year for his 10th birthday. The kid is a full metalhead and now becoming a mask collector and has all of my old original slipknot stuff. Posters, flags, jumpsuits i past all down to him. Never ending cycle

I was one of the few kids at my school in the 90s and early 2000s that liked rock. Got made fun of constantly for it. Music was my first love.😂 I thought id have seen all my fav bands by now. Life has been rough. I work 2 jobs and still am only able to afford groceries lately by using a credit card. No car. Havent been to a show since i was 22yrs old. System of a down was literally one of my favorite and most listened to bands of my childhood and adult life. Slipknot self-titled album was one of my first real cds (not burnt). I havent ever seen either band. Nine inch nails and stone temple pilots and smashing pumpkins were 3 of the best shows i ever attended and that was 18 yeara ago. I, unfortunately, dont think ill ever be lucky enough to see system of a down or slipknot live. Ive rocked out to their shows on youtube and thats probably the closest ill get. I couldnt afford it, even ifi were lucky enough to be near a show.

It may be time for me to buy a Slipknot album as a gateway drug. There is a song or two that I was feeling. I never gave them a chance because I thought they were not my cup of tea. I am a fan of System of the Down. I need to get more albums from them with only having two. I wish they would go on more tours and maybe come out with a new album but that might be pushing it, I don't know. It's cool they had a moment of tribute. That is awesome and I should check out the other bands mentioned.

Dang and here I thought they were gonna hit the studios
@Spider-Man2099MCU9 ай бұрын
What are you talking about? SOAD is a band that has politically divided members but plays extensively live. They're probably never going to hit the studio for a new album. They only made two new songs to help fund against the Armenian Genocide, as far as that one member, he left due to a head injury before they even made their debut and went under the name Soil. As for Slipknot, I hate their management of the band, Clown especially. They clearly got rid of their drummer due to a deeper hidden meaning, but it's whatever since their replacement is suitable, but man, as much as they are a highly in-demand band, they have some shady corporate experience following the development of their latest album, as well as still nothing going on with their unreleased demo album Look Outside Your Window. So, yeah. I'm glad SOAD is back, but let's face they are all doing new material for solo acts and not for the band, probably will never happen. (EDIT) I somewhat misread your comments on which you referred to the first but point still stands, my bad
@Darkopolypse989 ай бұрын
I assumed they got a new drummer for like, recording purposes not just for a live show lol
@Darkopolypse989 ай бұрын
Yeah slipknot has a historically messy band management because they replace members all the time but most of the point isn't who's playing it's what's playing in my opinion, that's why they wear masks and don't use their real names I would imagine
