SLE or systemic lupus erythematosus. If we look at each of the three words, we can remember what this disorder refers to - ‘systemic’ tells us it affects multiple organs, ‘lupus’ is Latin for ‘wolf’, and ‘erythematosus’ refers to reddening of the skin, and was so named after the characteristic red butterfly rash over the nose and cheeks that resembles a wolf’s snout. ….. SLE is an autoimmune chronic inflammatory connective tissue disorder that affects multiple body systems and occurs predominantly in young women. It primarily affects the skin, joints, and kidneys, but every organ of the body can be affected.

This video was very helpful. My instructor is going over SLE and this video helped with being able to grasp this autoimmune disease. I definitely like the questions at the end.

3 is actually describing the pathophys of rheumatoid arthritis.

Not exactly, but it can be confusing - In the video at 1:15-1:44, we explain the 'antigen-antibody complexes', which is what would go in the place of 'IgG complexes' to make the statement true. However, IgG is associated with type III hypersensitivity reactions and does cause inflammation. Hope this clears things up.
