RSI generally probably isn't seen much in osu because everyone is always talking about proper technique and also stamina and such. Like every new player tips video or "How to stream" guide video I've seen it always has the "proper technique" which basically runs down to a "how not to frick up your hands" technique. As well as mentions of the goat tykato fitness' "Hand Exercises for Gamers" video. Also as I mentioned stamina tends to stop you from actually doing it so repetitively that it does you in too, though playing for hours RSI will eventually get you either way.

@@galaxy4dayz those large amount of hours are over a very long amount of time. At the moment he has 2488 hours over the span of 8.5 years or 74,903 hours. Realistically top players of other games will have closer to 10,000 hours over that much time played. The reason him and everyone other top player are so good is because they have played consistently a couple hours over a couple years or more. There is also the whole genetics and being younger making you able to improve faster too. Also when you consistently play like 1-2 hours a day like 5-6 times a week you will improve. It is also better than playing 3-5 hours in 1 play session even if you played the same amount of time that week because you get to process and gain some muscle memory better that way. One thing I heard is that playing for 45 is the most efficient way to play in terms of improvement because after 45 minutes you don't tend to retain as much after that but that seems too short for me so I tend to play 1-2 hours depending on how I'm feeling and how much fun I'm having. As well as if I am going for improving stamina or not as that tends to take longer than 45 minutes. Also make sure to know the difference between actual pain that signifies that you should stop playing and the burning pain (like in a workout) which means you are building the muscle or stamina to play faster or longer endurance. Also RSI is hereditary too, so basically what that means is that some people could do a heavy amount of typing for years and never get RSI but some could type very little over some years and get it. It is mainly down to genetics for this. I would say sorry for the yap sesh but this channel is all about that.

Just two quick really important things to clarify cause it's healthy as hell to know this: pain is not a direct indicator of how bad is something, meaning extreme pain is not necessary a extreme injury or also no pain does not mean fully recovered, pain is a nervous thing and if a nerve is fucked you will have severe pain even if everything else is right; leading to an sedentary induced weakness in the structure that's damaged. And the second thing; injuries don't heal by its own, if you have something like rsi you don't have to let it rest till it's recover, you can't afk an injury and expect the best recovery possible. You always need to work with it dosing the pain and, the most important thing, recover the injury induced weakness by doing strength training (dosing pain obviously)

i think i had or still have rsi, but i do not give a fuck. hit the gym, lift some weights, stress your body out to the point of no return. if you are sore in one place, make sure you are sore in ALL places, it cancels itself out then come back and click them fucking circles son

I had that thing and it fucking sucks. You can't move your fingers at all, like the hand is broken. It took about a year to fully heal, but the wrist feels stiff and hurts sometimes. Had to change my playstyle completely to continue plaiyng osu.
