Hello, I played the game again but I already had an account with a character in Papunika and on that server I had collected 300 mokokos and completed many subquests. Would you recommend starting over on the Jump server?

Everyone hating on sywo in the comments of his videos since his quit video is an idiot, and I’m gonna tell you why he has been one of the most positive influences on the game since it has moved into the western audience. He’s one of the reasons I started playing on Russia, and one of the many reasons why many people have picked up the game has always been a voice for the community and he always has a positive aspect. recently the game had taken a very negative turn, and I think that they have made a good stride in creating a positive environment for new players and returning players, and he would like to be part of that community because he has helped build the original community and he continues to want to help the community. this is him wanting to help the community by coming back and getting new players into the game so instead of being salty like most of you are who probably still don’t play the game and Are just crashing on people that do take an inward look because this man is one of the many reasons why so many people play the game and if he wanted to take a break and then come back that’s fine. He’s also a content creator. Some creators use Clickbait videos and that’s fine because you still watch them.

Well, that would require use to look at retention rates. Clickbait videos are not healthy for the viewer and they are time inefficient.

I feel like part of this fresh start stuff is just missing the point, just a bandaid. Its being treated as some season server where the characters would merge back over to a main server, but the general catch up issue is still there - honing is still rough sure, but I have thousands of materials thats not the concern. The concern is playing the game, I have returned to the game in the past week or two because its somewhat a playable game, still have more horizontal stuff to collect but that is all I can do, I can use the materials I have to push gear up but I can't actually get new gear because of that fundamental catch up issue - players. Because I quit when legion raids started coming out I don't have the overgeared max knowledge of the fight so theres no groups that I can join, so the game is effectively dead for me. Most I can do is play the new classes when they come out. Fresh start doesn't overcome that issue; everyone has the same gear level... But those groups are still going to be an issue, new player wipes on a mechanic? abandon group. Due to rng I probably wouldn't reach the gear to keep with the moving tide.

That is the point of the server, to give new players a chance to make friends and create groups while learning raids together. This server is not meant for veteran players. Of course there will be veteran players joining, some to help, some that will bus, some that will be toxic and gatekeep, however, it is primarily for new players, giving the opportunity to learn. It's supposed to mimic the experience when everyone was new. For me personally, when I was first introduced to valtan, I had only one friend and we learned it together through trial and error. Sometimes we had to find multiple groups to prog, sometimes we disbanded groups in one pull. But now we're apart of a guild with a bunch of friends and prog every single raid together :). Don't be afraid to socialize. This game is horrendous without friends and people to laugh with. Also it is important to note that the incentive for veteran players to play is not that high. Most players that have been playing for a long time also have a roster they are happy with by now. Sure many will start playing, but I'm sure the veterans will quit in roughly a month because they'll realize, the reward is not great enough to spend that much time.

This is also one my biggest issues with the game. They need to make normal raids easy enough so people can do them with randoms just like in FFXIV. Base difficulty is just too much to handle for majority of players and that can be seen with how empty servers are.

I have got on and done the pass, but now it feels even more lost than it would be on my returning server. Woo 1415 gear, with a garbage ability stone. Basic bitch engravings - engraving level that is only suited for the OG 302 50 fresh player. NO horizontal content done, like what the actual fuck I am not spending another 3-4 months losing my mind over island souls and adventure log just to get skill points again... The issues with the game are exacerbated here, new player experience is insanely poor (if they boost). With gear I can make up for some dungeons and guardians one or two tiers lower but without the engravings its a meme to consider the 1415 tier... If they don't boost then they will get locked out of that curve people will be running

@@Syndarys while I agree that SG didn't do a good job presenting information properly, making the new player experience poor, there is a lot things to help this that was recently added. For example, everyone gets a free best in slot 5 engravings of your choice, free accessories that are usable into end game, etcetc. If you take the time to read things and have an open mind, you'll actually maybe enjoy it. I just got done playing valtan with 4 mokokos, including one of my friends on the jump start server, and wow it was nostalgic just like the first time we played but much much easier. It took 2 hours but we cleared.

I went through and changed all the settings as recommended. I then logged onto the Fresh Start Server and boosted my character and did all maintenance. I'm ready to go, but not sure what to do now. I am so lost. What do I need to queue up for?

As a brand new player should I use the power pass in the fresh start servers or am I missing too much of the story?

you can use the powerpass on one character to take part in the end game and mokoko express, and if you want to experience the story you can make another character and do the story express which takes you through the whole story without having to level your gear manually to progress it. its good if you want to learn the lore but also get some nice rewards and gear!

I have a question. I'm on the jump start server and applied the main story Jump Start Story Express to my main character. Apparently it only applies to one character. If I delete that character, will I be able to reapply the story express to a different character?

Lost ark needs one thing and one thing only , back when I use to play phantasy star online back in 2008 the chat bubble above the head made the lobbies more interactive with community , that chat box on bottom yes is less clutter but overall boring

You will still keep everything in your other server, you’re just creating a new character on a different server, so let’s say you’re on Avesta you have a roster and such you’ll keep everything while having a character on the jumpstart server

hi just want to ask which one is better to do, me, my s.o and my elder sister wanted to play lost ark again, do you think we should just continue in our original server(valtan) or should we try and play in the jump start server? i believe we are itemlvl 1370-1430 something, we left august of 2022. im sorry if im too lazy to read on whats good in jump start server

@@bwaniful ok, so for you guy that still pretty low at that ilvl. you should take jump start server. because, you will get boost to 1540. (my comments was for veterans player that will fill jumpstart server) from 0-1490 is free (same like the current event one on the normal server) but the benefit on jumpstart server you will get "more material" and also some items like cards and stuff to help you progress. and also you will get "free pass" to equip 5 engraving. (this one is limited to 6 months i think) untill you have enough gold to buy the real one. i believe you still doesnt have much collectible on your OG server right? mokoko seed, giant heart, omium star etc. feel free to ask again, later!!

This game leans to heavy on the P2W side this jump starts servers are pretty much pointless since in 6 months once you get move to the standard servers you will be left behind unless you pay to keep up.
