Just a gorgeous aircraft! The reporter brought life to the vid. Loved her reaction and enthusiasm.

I'm not a pilot but while in the Air Force I got to ride in the back of the T-33 several times; Hamilton AFB CA, Duluth AFB MN, K.I. Sawyer AFB MI, and Ellington ANGB TX. I really love that airplane.

That bird is an ex-RCAF airframe. The oval exhaust port just forward of the tail (left side) is one of the big indicators, as well as the one-piece windscreen. We never should have retired them, it cost 10x to get contractors to do the combat support missions. T-birds were relatively cheap.

The F-80 single seat version was nicknamed “ Shooting Star”. The T-33 trainer version nickname was “ T-Bird”.

It's a bit strange, but the older I get, the more these machines fascinate me.
There was one in the park in Nocona TX when I was a kid. The canopy was missing and there were stairs so kids could play in it. It was one of the biggest inspirations for my interest in aviation. It would be a dream come true to go up in one.

My dad ejected from this bird in 1955 over Arizona and survived a back spin with no recovery. Glad he did.

I know, Ouch... I flew that particular plane years ago. About $1500 in fuel for a 20 minute flight...
