Just campin with my Tab trailer, hanging out around camp, and doing some bad weather indoor trailer cooking.

I love everybody's campin toys. I like bikes and paddle boards..there are the electric bike people, the car you have, the drones, the skis, the snow shoes, all the fun!!! Love seeing everyone have fun in their own special camping way. 😂😂

I have camoed at about 30 of those sites. Nice campgrounds. I need to get back again.

Very nice place. I almost got frozen in my truck camper there one year with sleet. 😂

Hey nice setup, We are heading up to the Rim tomorrow. We are going to boondock across hwy 260 from where you are. We also are going to bring quads and RC cars. I too have a crawler. I have a Axial Wraith. I look forward to popping around your library. Thanks for sharing your adventure, good stuff.

Looks like another great place to camp! I just got back yesterday from a weekend with some Ohio and PA T@B folks and had a great time. This was my first trip with my trailer after getting the OTT tune. OMG it is so much better! I'm really happy with the Taco and I am in love with my CS-S. I don't have the option to cook inside but aside from that it's perfect. Happy trails.

That's awesome man!! Glad that tune worked out, I know it really helped me a lot. These trailers are great, too. Be cool if we had an indoor and outdoor kitchen on them all.

Just because it says “Cold Beer” doesn’t mean it’s cold. Prove it!

Nice set up. How often do you head up north? Are you in a campground? Do they charge for that? I usually go dispersed camping up there by Woods Canyon Lake.
@DSWadventures2 ай бұрын
I'm up north pretty often, but usually not in that area. Yeah, they charge about 25 a night there now.

Very good video. I've never been up to Woods Canyon. I usually go up to the rim and camp along there. FYI, It's Pinetop-Lakeside that You pass through after Strawberry, not Pine. Happy camping!
@DSWadventures2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. The rim road is very nice to camp off of also. I was on the 260 heading east from the 17 from Camp Verde through Strawberry, Pine, then Payson north to Woods canyon lake. Pinetop- lakeside is more east just south of show low from where I was. Ironically it's also on the 260, lots of pine somethings up there. 😂

I was camping at woods canyon lake three weeks ago. I own a cabin in pinetop. You need to look at a map again raylee.
@DSWadventuresАй бұрын
A few different pine something or others in the pines in those parts. 😂

your hail shield is a great idea...you may not even have to inflate it for it to work well.
@DSWadventures2 ай бұрын
It is pretty thick pvc, so it may help. Its still a couple feet short, unfortunately, but I could always use an air mattress I have to cover that section if need be. Hopefully I don't experience any golf ball size or larger hail

What are the racks on the back? Can you attach removeable solar panals?
@DSWadventures20 күн бұрын
The rack on the back is mainly use to attach a storage basket or box like you see on most vehicle racks. They don't support a whole lot of weight unfortunately.

As someone who used to go camping and fishing up on the Rim every summer, I can tell you why some people wait to leave on Monday instead of leaving Sunday. The mass exodus of traffic is heading back to Phoenix is dangerous, and stressful because it not only the camping people, but the college kids returning to school that treat the roads like their own personal race track. We learned out lesson quickly to give up one day of work and make the long trek back home stress free (well except for the insane traffic in Phoenix). Also, depending on the time of the year, while camping on the Rim, every day around 3 pm, clo8uds would form and a short thunder shower would fall. It wouldn't last long. Then it would move away, dissipate, and we would be back to sunny skies. Oh how I miss camping up there, walking through the woods, hearing the elk bugle, and at night, it seemed like the stars were so close that you could just reach up and pluck one down. I just hope the campers will take very good care of the forest and especially make be extra careful with all flammables. You see,, we were camping up in the Rim country before all the forest fires decimated the forests. I remember the thick, lush, breathtakingly beautiful magnificent Ponderosa Pines, and especially their aroma. I hope with care, the forest will flourish and all the generations coming will be able to see and enjoy the beauty and bounty that it has to offer. I hope you will have safe travels and thank you for the walk down memory lane.

Aaaaaah. I was wondering that, makes sense now on the crazy traffic rush back down the mountain. Odly enough, it was easier going Draggin the trailer on the 87 in town through mesa, chandler, to queen creek than taking the 101 or 202 around haha. I bet it's was nice back then with only a quarter of the campers up in that area. 2 years ago, we went out to the area where the fire in the sky alien abduction took place near Hebe,r along with some longer forest rides. The forest is regaining very well after those big fires they had in the 90s early 2000. Beautiful up there in summer for sure.

@@DSWadventures You take the same rou8te we did, well after they put in the 101 & 202. We had been going up there since back when 87 was 2 lane, no shoulder highway with deer kill in the road on every trip. We always camped off the logging trails, far away from the campgrounds & other people. We only camped in designated campgrounds when fire threats & restrictions were in effect. Used to hear cars on 260 slamming their brakes & screeching tires trying to avoid bear or elk in the highway. So glad you enjoyed your time up on the Rim. Lots of really nice places to camp or fish up there.
