Hm do not use on plastic bumpers? I thought that's what it's for
@DetailingandtheBeast Жыл бұрын
Plastic, as in unpainted. Any type of painted surface is fine, but the compound in this will stain unpainted or textured plastics.

T cut didn't do a bad job, from the info on the tube I thought it would be full of fillers, 👍👍👍

New to your channel (thanks to Martin at OCD) I have never managed to get T-Cut to work very well for me, watching this I'm thinking maybe I didn't work it long enough.
@DetailingandtheBeast3 жыл бұрын
That may be the case. But give it until Sunday this week and I'm doing the megatest so you can compare all 8 and choose one that you like! 😊 Welcome by the way!

@@DetailingandtheBeast - Ohhh, really, that was looking a bit better... Just watched that video again and that one was looking a bit better (the light wasn’t that direct like in this case though), but I believe it to you Dave, as you have seen them in reality - and that’s what really matters, camera never gives the reality back. 😊

I only scored them against each other at the very end when all were done. Switched off the lights and used the pen to determine worst to best in both swirl removal amd separately scratch removal. Was quite clear actually when done that way. TCut didnt seem amazing when I did that.

Does this eat into the clear coat? If so, should I spray on clear lacquer from Halfords?
@DetailingandtheBeast2 жыл бұрын
The answer is yes, but from your question I have to say "not as you think". It is an abrasive so diminishes clearcoat, bit you would have to do some serious arm time to take off that mich that you need lacquer. Also do not just spray clear lacquer onto any paintwork. It won't bond, and it won't just blend in. You will bebleft with a right mess that will cost a lot to rectify.

Better than the last two but in my opinion, although you'll have a much better view than me (!), the G3 is still leagues ahead... It looks like a machine application compared to some of these! T-cut is underrated by a lot of modern (dare I say younger) enthusiasts but it still has its place - This very product helped me out of a tight spot with a hire-car in Spain a few years ago after a battle with a loose branch! Loving this so far Dave 👍🏼 excited about the 'pen' 😬😬

You have it spot on up to now. G3 is way better. Pen is coming tonight at 6pm! 😊🤣

I love that the old school belter seems to be the best so far ...... especially for the £s. Keep going flinty, can't wait for the final day. 👊

Today's will be a good un! 🤣 I've still got G3 "up" at this point by quite a way. It did a much better job at swirls and the scratch. The T Cut wasnt actually that good. Itll show better when we compare them in the scoring bit on Sunday.
