That's good and all but given how scarce the opportunities for the belt are I would had taken the chance anyway, champions fight like twice a year at best with some rare exceptions that's why (and due the UFC's fuckery with super fights and putting their favorites in front of the line) fighters like Ferguson and Oliveira have to go on insane winning streaks to be considered and even then they also can be denied their deserved shot; if the Yan / Sterling fight ends in a controversial way or if Cejudo returns Sandhagen can kiss goodbye to his chance to fight for the belt this year, hell they might even pass over him to give this cheater Dillashaw a chance before him, UFC's matchmaking is very flawed and he is not doing himself any favors by passing chances when it is being flawed in his favor.

Chael...you're on point most every topic, thus why I tune in so often... However, you keep hammering away at the notion that Dillashaw and Faber MUST fight. Why? I know the whole backstory...am completely aware of it, as we all are who follow UFC/MMA. But...Dillashaw is 34 years old...pretty much the peak of his prime. And as your story just told, UFC fighters training alongside him claim he's even better than before. Whereas Faber, and of course, this doesn't take away from the legend that Faber is, but Faber is 41 years old...and hasn't exactly shined in his last few outings. Sure, he TKO'd Ricky Simon, but Peter Yan put a helluva beating on him 12/2019 and we haven't seen him since. Aside from Cejudo putting Dillashaw away, Dillashaw was on a 4 fight win streak, 2 of those vicious KO's of Garbrandt. Don't you see pitting Faber against Dillashaw is pretty much sending an old guy out to be destroyed ala Chuck Liddell against Tito 3? No one wants to see that, am I correct?
