Very good instructions. I was on with T-Mobile's tech department and they were telling me how to do that incorrectly by not having me press the volume button when the Dead Android showed up on the screen. I was wondering if you've ever seen blurred type in the email and contacts area of the phone. Mine is doing that to the point where I can't see any of the contacts because the time is so blurry. Do you think a factory reset is the only way to fix this problem? The phone is only about 3 months old and it's not really used that much just using it as a remote control for my Wi-Fi stereo to stream music.

Yeah it works until you get to the screen asking to verify the pattern or use google account instead. My daughter changed everything so now we can't get in the account. So this technique does not work for an actual factory reset
