As a non sewing person, I am always in awe of everything you make and everything you do, I love the way you explain your methods, and your way of thinking 💚 Also being English, and knowing how useless we (some of us, anyway)are when it comes to the heat (sunshine), that I am TRULY in awe, that you managed to sew anything this week, let alone three t shirts, a 100% new to you pattern and process, as well as full time work and making a KZbin video, whilst I just became a ‘puddle’ every day…GO KIM 🤩

Believe me I'm not great in this weather. I think cool thoughts even when the temperature gauge in my room hit 29... Ouch 🥵. Enjoy your week ❤️

Three great t-shirts, Kim. I love the floral one. I've not heard of that pattern before and it does have so many options that it would be a good one to have. I haven't made a t-shirt for a while. I used to make them for my grandson when he was younger and didn't care if it didn't have a sports brand on it. I do make a lot of nightgowns out of double brushed poly because I love how soft they are to wear. I'm very anxious to see your quilt put together. I don't quilt but I loved seeing the beautiful blocks as you were making them.

They were fun and quick makes, which aren't my usual garment choice, so I can see why sewists make them. You'll love next week's video. Working on it now. It's a long quilting feast!! Hi Kim, have to tried Maraflex thread for stretch fabrics, I found it to be a game changer. I also like using a twin needle finish. Your floral tee is so pretty, long sleeved tee shirts are a great transition piece. Have a good week. 😊

@@linvin18 thanks Linda. I'll look into Maraflex. I do have a twin needle and even got it out to use, but was a little scared to try it. I think I'll practice with them and use on my next tee. Have a good week too ❤️

Thanks Kim great vlog - I too am v much getting into PE patterns, and also need some good basic tees and shirts in my wardrobe - have made a besties tee the fit was great. Agree their instructions are really good - I also have the balloon sleeve top in my near future and would love to join you in your making journey on that one! Good luck with yours. 😃

@@pennyhone thanks Penny. I loved making the tees. I was surprised how much I enjoyed making them. Such quick makes. My progress this week has been slow. This heat makes my sewing room unbearable, but I managed a couple of hours today as it was a bit cooler. I've been going through my stash to see what I can use on my balloon sleeve. I love your Tees, you have inspired me to get going on making some as I do tend to wear them a lot in the autumn, and winter as a base layer. I’m not sure atm if I have this pattern although I know I do have several pattern emporium patterns but I know I do have several Ellie and Mac T-Shirt and T-shirt Dress patterns that I could use but also have some big four. I’ll check them out and maybe try one of each and see which I like the best. I like sometimes adding a bit of a puff at the top of the sleeve as I have narrow shoulders and I find that it gives me a bit of definition and balances out my shape as I also have sewing ‘D’ cup. Who doesn’t love a good Tee! I have noticed recently that a lot of vlogers have the pattern instructions all printed out and bound. I print my patterns myself on my own printer but it does make me jealous to see them all beautifully made 😂. X

@@clairerosey9921 I've just discovered the joy of jersey, as I was a prolific shirt maker before, and I'm enjoying making tees. I can see a fair few being made going forward. Though I need to keep working on the fit. Enjoy your week of sewing ❤️

Kim you should try the keep it simple babe tee from pattern emporium. It has even more options. It has crew neck, polo neck, high neck, boat neck, scoop neck, high square and a low square neck and more

I happen to be sitting watching this and wearing one of my two Bound To Be Tees! I love the neck binding attachment - it's the first one I've done on a t-shirt, having only done neckbands before, although I may try making it slightly shorter next time, as mine has a bit of puckering at the front. I don't know whether I just didn't place it correctly or not, but the second one went in a bit better. I also basted it on before coverstitching it in place. I have started to baste quite a few things lately - just keeps everything lined up and secure. I've found that pulling across the upper bust/armhole on other t-shirts I've made so I have started to add some length to the armhole and sleeve head so it's not as tight, which also lowers the bust point which I usually need to do as well, on stretch or woven. Love Karina's channel - I go to her when I want info on any pattern, and find she's usually made it and done a tutorial (and she likes basting as well!). Balloon Sleeve is on my list - not sure when, though.
