These discussions are always tilted towards the guys that the system actually worked for(college stars, guys that went on to the NFL, successful coaches,etc) , but if you ask all of those guys" Did you play with anyone that was good enough to contribute in college or even make it to the NFL and just never got playing time in college?" they would all say yes. The portal was made for those guys.

Great discussion! As a parent of a kid that’s a rising sophomore at a powerhouse in Gwinnett County, I tell my kid all the time that you can never get comfortable and be scared of competition. And if he is blessed to get into college you have to have mental state when trying to touch the field. You can’t tap out and leave and expect things to work in your favor. Once you jump into the portal it a chance you may not get another opportunity. So take advantage of the ones you are afforded and create!

We are in a new day all the way across the board. The power has shifted and it's more in the players hands. Which will be good for some and bad for others. Thats life. Having the portal just gives options to the players. They don't have to leave. They can stay, compete, level up or never play. Or they can't try to catch the eye of another program. Bonafide starters are not gonna just be jumping from school to school. It's guys that are low on the depth chart. He might be 3rd string at Bama. But can start at UNC.

I love the conversation but there were some very important points they failed to Mention pertaining the NIL and Transfer Portal NIL- Not every Player gets into the NFL ‘Tommy Armstrong, JT Barrett, and Vernon Adams’ for example but they were definitely Players used to sell tickets for those Colleges so let them make as much money as they can get before having to do something else instead of Struggling and bouncing around Canadian Football League Transfer Portal- I agree with Speed to a a point, my thing is it allows smaller schools to Have better Players in turn Big Schools vs Little schools will be a lot better to watch because of the better Competition and player recognization, yes those players enviably transfer to those big Schools but it’ll give more Tape for NFL teams to look at and gives the college kids better development at a early age even though they wouldn’t be in a legendary locker room

Why are the players expected to take the high road when the coaches, administrators, and TV people take the low road. If you have an advocate speaking for you you are good. All these coaches are tampering in the middle of the season, looking at potential candidates. We assume integrity flows in one direction. The whole process is tainted by collectives inducing players which is supposed to be illegal. But they are blatantly doing it. This whole thing is a joke.

“These top colleges teams aren’t top anymore”… That’s what makes the portal good.. more teams will be competitive know.. these nfl players have no brain.. Lol these dudes want 2 teams to be good.. when a player goes somewhere and it’s not what they thought u want them to sit there and do nothing. Na that’s dumb

Nick Saban was done as soon as the NIL took over because he always used boosters as NI, now every school has it , He doesn’t have the up on anybody else anymore. That’s why he stopped. His career record would’ve taken a turn. And he just left while he good.

Suggestion: You guy's should change the seating arrangement and background to make it look similar to Gil's Arena. Former players chilling in the living rm is not best look.

The portal isn't a bad thing. Why should a player be stuck at a school when their coach bailed after 1 year? Or why should their former coach have the power to control where they transfer to?

Missing the point they are making, you need to listen to the video again. That’s good players can do that but, it doesn’t mean it’s always the best move and like they said some players get left in the portal and never find a new team

I think of your coach leaves then you should be allowed to transfer. I think Players should get 1 free transfer anyway. I just don't like the unlimited transfers.

If they play football for 9 college years “SO F’N WHAT “ we as people have NO PLACE to judge others people time line, we don’t know when something will blossom, secondly you can’t determine the timeline on someone chasing their dream. How do we not know that this individuals ultimate dream was to just play college football? Can’t complain about every aspect of the portal just have to respect it as a coach/player equalizer.

Alabama should have never been a top school... Nick Saban has been paying players for years. NOW its fair game. If y'all think these players are jumping into the portal blind... Y'all are blind they have agents that are having these conversations every year.

Screw that. This shit is a business. Don’t nobody care about sitting down and EARNING a title and spot. Why not go to another school, get paid, and set my self up for the pros? That’s idiotic and personal. HATER. If u ask me

Black athletes going against the transfer portal is insane when for YEARS coaches and universities have used their power to move how they want while restricting the athletes.

Does that apply to coaches too then? Should they be forced to stay when another school offers them more money?
@jamalcan1
@jamalcan1 2 ай бұрын
@howarddickersonjr.6994 Coaches can be bought out of their contracts. That is up to the schools and coaches involved in that situation. Now if your coach leaves that year, as a player that is where an exception should be allowed to transfer no matter what grade you are in.

All I’m hearing is the portals bad because the blue bloods can’t hog all the talent no more 🤷🏾‍♂️ if anything the competition is better it’s not no more walking into a stadium expecting a automatic win because you got 18 5⭐️s the other team got just as much depth 🤷🏾‍♂️
