Don’t hide the struggles you have. Watching that kind of stuff is what keeps your channel realistic and helps keep the average Joe interested. Wrong or right, it’s good to see others struggling sometimes. It helps keep our spirits up when we’re dealing with the same kind of mechanical struggles.

Looks all good to me! That new shifter rocks. Like the tip about sealed bearings, have salvaged several rear axle bearings in the past that are sealed like that after an axle seal failure where the gear oil washes out the grease. Pop the seal out very carefully and rinse the bearing w/brake cleaner, then dry out and repack with good wheel bearing grease! Reinstall w/fresh seal and happy motoring! Great job on install, lot of stuff but it falls right into place.(I can say that, being a retired mechanic w/35+ years in the business)go enjoy this car now, and thank you all for a great video! God bless you!

Morning Y'all... Don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but an old trick to keeping your Ralph the tractor planted to the ground, is fill your tires with water, that should keep you safe by giving you enough ballast for the heavier lifts. Only draw back is... You'll have to limit the high speed passes. LOL

So glad Aaron is doing pretty well after his medical fiasco. I know that after a problem, in my case I never got back to 100%. Aaron is young, hopefully he will be Superman in a while. Love your videos guys. Love this trans rebuild. I had the chance to buy a late model ZO something for $2500, he said clutch blew! Still wasn’t worth it too me. You guys have guts tackling this car!!!!! ❤️👍👍👍👍👍

Congratulations on a difficult rebuild job. Lots of aggravating "small things" to tidy up after the complicated work was done. Great to have your Niece there to help and I liked her 70's Demon T-shirt. Finley was on the job in the background for moral support as usual and had a hard time waiting for a ride. It will be fun to see what your next project is going to be! Take care, jack

Little trick when putting your wheels back on. Raise the car to where the axle is about chest height.Set the wheel on the ground with the outside of the wheel facing away from you.grab the face of the wheel near the ground and pivot it up using the tops of your legs as a pivot point.Weight of the wheel will be resting on your thighs.with some practice you can install very large wheels with ease.Old mechanic taught me that.

For every bad snake there are a dozen good snakes, and they all want to avoid you as much as you may want to avoid them. Great job on the transmission, that was not a simple overhaul! I had cutouts on all my youth hot rods, but mostly only opened at the drag strip. I hate donut tires. My Ram Limited came with 22" wheels, which I like, but had to replace the tires with ones with some sidewalls. (I also like narrow side walls, or white lettering on my tires, but couldn't find any of those for it.)
@lar10101 Жыл бұрын
About the snake.... Like Aaron said, "Live, and let live." Until he falls on yer head. He's up there solving your rodent problem, and will leave when he's done. The ones he (or she) doesn't eat will move out. He's not hurting you, he's helping you.

Awesome. Glad to see you got that transmission back together. Never a doubt but still a major accomplishment. I'm not sure my "what I'd like to see next" is necessarily wrenching and it likely will take some planning so won't be "next". I'd love to see you go to OK and get that chevy COE and get her back to the shop. Maybe do a video (or series of videos) on "inspecting" barn finds and developing a plan for a project. Are you going to just get it running and driving? Do a body swap? Restomod? That thing would make a cool tow rig if you did a body swap onto a 3/4 ton or 1 ton late model platform. Whatever you decide to do, keep having fun with it.
