I'm happy to have someone else in the english speaking community making videos on the game so any videos that personally interest you to make is good I've not played since SS2 so in farming strategies I'd personally appreciate like a quick 30s-1min overview of the loot to target or tips about running X league mechanic, especially if you put out a guide on something like Mistville, Frozen canvas etc

@@imarealrat Personally I'd just like a profit test with a quick overview on what to target if there is options, but with the amount of people I see talking in global about not knowing how to set up or run stuff like frozen canvas a full guide would probably do well too

For me the best kind of guide is one that features a progression curve/path for a build from fresh out of campaign to boss showdown 21 down with progression steps/order of investment so if i try to get into a new archetype i have never played before i can understand what to do and how exactly the build scales at all times. The number one thing that makes me quit in arpg leagues/seasons is if i feel like i either dont have a clear goal/know what to do or i dont know how to get there or feel like it takes too much time/effort to get to the next step.

Totally agree. They always put out builds that do T3 damage and not the process.

I'm personally not really a build content creator, I'm not good with builds, but im trying to learn. Maybe in a season or two I will create build content.

So... i came over from d4 and POE1 + 2 because of DonTheCrown and I appreciate when you guys do like content around what to do at different phases of the end game. and re introductions to league mechanics. but also love the farm strategies too.

Fire Video again. I feel like Nightmare is great for the clear, but profit wise it lets you down so often. Im trying a t8 strat with beacon tree for sustain, magic monster nodes and mist for the eye drops. Went not too bad so far

You covered t7 boss rush now you can explore some t8 stuff and see how it works out. If you dont enjoy doing something anymore just swap from it =)

@@imarealrat from the way you present stuff on your first videos : dont stress yourself as you seem to be knowing what you do. If people dont like it they will critize or try to make it better for the audience. just give it a go like what is essential and needed, what is luxury upgrade, what is needed for the speed you have on your char etc.

Great vid, love content like this as a new player coming from poe. As for feedback, written guides in the long run end up better because you can update a single source and we know where to look. Videos get outdated as you discover new methods and improvements. But videos as an introduction to strategies is great. Keep up the good work.

I agree, I'm working on establishing written currency guides for Herowik. They do take a fair bit longer to work on than videos do though, so I guess my question to you is, would you prefer a video every other day with a written guide for it if possible or the daily uploads with a written guide every couple days on strategies I run that feel like they should be highlighted?

Hello! a question please, why not farm a faster map like the one you did in boss rush? im curious, since i was farming that strat doing aloot of currency thx to you but i can now do 8.1 easly so im tryng to beat that strat but just cant find any strat in t8 .-.

To add to that I'm currently working on another boss rush esque strategy in T8 that is getting ~350 FE/hr but I'm trying to get it higher before I release a video on it tonight.

This character has negative resistances with 3.1k es rn, I'm just scaling damage as my defenses :p

@imarealrat if it weren't for losing xp when you die, I'd be cool with that. At 95 currently. Making it to 100 is one thing. How to get to 99 though? Yes I have xp pets set

@ Honestly I've never gotten a character that high, I normally have just gotten characters to ~97. I tend to reroll before I invest enough time into a character to get it much higher.

If you would drop the pirate force from constellation and run blacksail return compass for 5fe per map. What would you spec into? Would it be even viable to drop the top constellation tree from blacksail?

I haven't looked into using that compass, I'll give it a shot and make a video on it if it's worthwhile. Theoretically assuming it is profitable to do so I'd likely move the points to the beacon tree to try to sustain my beacons.

I do think you should run the league mechanic.. i was wondering if I should also and ran a couple and to my surprise I actually manage to get at least 20fe every single time I went in + the fe that drop from the map cards when you gathering the 15, think i made close to 2k fe in about 4h or so.. I do finish the maps quite fast(sitting at 10b dps now) so keep that in mind.

I did do testing before this video and the league mechanic felt pretty bad to do with this strategy, it resulted in way less maps per hour which means less nightmares popping and completing less blacksails.

@ 100% understand that, just saying that my experience have been really decent with the league mechanic. Literally yesterday with a 5 chests i manage to drop close to 80fe, was it a really run? Yes 100% but it can be really good.

they shadow nerfed shallow frag drops overall but also specifically trinket droprate like 90% compared to last season

Yeah i have definitely noticed trinkets dropping less often, either way it's still a profitable mechanic.

im new to the game i played a lot of ARP´gs such as poe/d4bad/grimdawn etc. i would like to see a zero to hero how to progress into the highest difficulty of the game. Good video tho

I've always liked the idea of zero to hero series, It's just really hard to structure, I recorded 3 episodes of nothing to a mirror on poe using limited tabs and it came out such a mess that I never uploaded it or continued the series.

As for what people want with guides: EXPLAIN HOW THINGS WORK. I don't understand why but almost all farming guides for ARPG's are just "here's my atlas, here's my build, here's the loot/hr." Ok, great, but how the hell do these mechanics work? Why are we making the choices we're making? This is way more important in TI than other games because there are almost no good sources of information in English. Just imagine you know nothing about the game- that's where most people are at. They don't even know how to recognize when a mechanic is on the map. For Nightmare specifically, there is information about the atlas tree, information about the various things that happen in-map like lightning and the mist, information about the mechanic tree where the mechanic is buffed, information about the nightmare event, etc. I honestly don't care what your tree, build, or strat are, I just want to understand how things work so I can make my own strategy.

I definitely understand where you're coming from, most people who watch my videos do just want the strategy and to see what drops but yes an actual guide on the mechanic would be useful to new players. I'll see if anyone is currently working on a nightmare guide at Herowik and if not then I'll make a guide on the mechanic. The one issue with losing maxroll is one of the few things they did right were their mechanic guides that went over how they worked for beginners, now we need to start from scratch again at Herowik so it may take a while.
