You can really see that bottom-5 character usage being put to work, lmao. That half-screen reaching Heat Smash is catching everyone off guard. They're not prepared for Raven throwing off his clone-projectile into free 33%. He's so underrated and entertaining right now.

It’s not too bad. I played only 3 sessions and have 2 characters at tenryu. The matches happen super fast. I believe I would’ve gotten that rank in a few more sessions but I take breaks from playing ranked since it’s still ranked. Even with my 90% win rate it’s still dealing with people who treat it like it’s their life so winning can be satisfying but it gets tiring. I don’t think they should have ranked on release since it’ll make people have a rank they don’t really deserve yet. Imagine someone being a top rank with victor as of right now and only going against 5-10 players total that maybe know how to deal with him in the slightest. That’s scummy to even want to do. “Ima play ranked and abuse victor stuff because no one knows how to deal with it” that person needs some off screen help

I feel like his style is influenced by Naruto in this Tekken which is dope. The shadow clone and substitution jutsus are more involved in his combos.

Raven is a very underrated and unique character indeed, but to do very good with him you need to play very risky, because many of his moves end in his backturn where he's very vulnerable, you need to be very versatile and unpredictable with him, I mainly use him because he resemble Naruto characters in his fighting style and because of his unorthodox approach, for me he's B+ and maximum A in the right hands of use in the Tier List, because he's the type of High Risk-High Reward character. ☯️ 🤷🏻‍♂️

Idk about the "high reward" part, his damage sukks and so does his range and frame data. The moves from the back turn stance don't worth it, and I can't really call that hellsweep mixup from crouch a 50/50, more like 70/30 where 70% means that you eat a random mid launcher or heat engager. The only saving grace for this char is that nobody knows how sheet his frames are and you can throw random launch punishable bullshit at your opponent

If you're talking about the Vermilion slide, it's when his back is turned to the opponent which is back 3+4 and dash 3+4

I am asking because i haven't had a chance to play tekken 8, is Ravens down, forward launcher an actually launcher? Or is it still a 13 frame launcher? I love Raven but I'm a Tekken noob and it sucks that Raven doesn't have a 12 frame launcher. Edit: I understand the mentality, that character is for people who know how to open up people, but dammit, that was my first Tekken main and I have good matches where I confuse people with what I'm doing but I would like to have a launcher for Raven. Fighting dragonove (however you spell it) makes me completely unaggressive. But that makes sense, I need to learn how to deal with him

Tbh the tekken rank system is broken. No way someone with over 200,000 points should be facing anyone out side of that. Especially with this being “ThE FiGhTiNg GaMe Of ThE yEaR”. Definitely not impressed with someone of that high skill level playing people of way lower level. Just my opinion and before you talk smack I don’t play tekken but I watch all the videos
