Other alternative, a bit more mod-heavy... towers, bombard towers and castles are removed completely, but each civilization gains acces to either the donjon or the krepost in castle age, which can be used to create unique units and research unique technologies? Might be too complex and too balance disturbing...

I didn't know you could garrison ships inside a dock. Is that a civ specific thing or just knowledge that eluded me for like 20 years or however old the game is now? crazy stuff

All military buildings can garison units if you put the gathering point in the building itself. So this also works with barracks etc.

But just to clarify, ONLY newly created units can get inside production buildings, once they are out on the map, there is no way to get them inside again

honestly such "random" mistake changing the course of the battle is mostly anoying to me, somehow. Its hard to see such a mistake as honest, it was almost a perfect attack but then into the harbour...WHY?

How is that "great demo play" by tatoh? Everyone knew the demo was in the dock, yet daut just parks his whole fleet right next to the dock for absolutely zero reason. This match doesn't live up to its high elo promise at all. Feels like high-mid-elo.
