Hey Fury! I did this vs 2 P51D-30s - the tactic worked well combined with Rope a Dope. Sadly Shots sparked, but I killed one of the 2! ;)

maybe the flight model was changed but I can't seem to make this work. I might gain some distance in the merge but when I try to turn around after that, it seems like I lose a lot of energy, meanwhile the enemy doesn't lose nearly as much, and I keep trying to do that but it seems like the enemy keeps getting closer and closer to my energy level

Stealth Spider I have done a lot of shallow climbing to get away from especially British planes with the fw Dora in simulation battles. So yeah it works.

All of those will comfortably out-shallow climb Ta-152C regardless the altitude. at altitude i was out running p51s f4us easily after a merge, i made the remark after flying most of the fighters you have mentioned, and i feel like compared to the fighter you have mentioned at higher altitudes, the c3s shallow climbing ability is superior. i usually fly with minimum fuel amounts as well, which helps. at lower alts I do think the fighter you mention would eat the c3 easily. I think the P47 M and N should give it a good fight, its just because of the current nerfs i hardly fought them. f4ub and the p51d30, are designed for lower altitudes in the current patch , the corsair does have limited wep and the p51 around 3000 meters looses bit of its horse power. what do you think about the p51d and the corsair at high alt against ta 152's?

at altitude, if you time your runs you can outrun almost every american plane with just a spaded d9, which isnt even the high altitude variant of the fw 190. the f4u in NO WAY has better energy retention.. the amount of times ive energy trapped f4us and p51s is many, the p51 just has really good thrust at low speeds allowing it to keep it's nose up during climbs longer, but youll still stall quicker and harder

They are slower at almost all altitudes, including sea level. At high altitudes, a real threat 47M. The F-82E poses no threat.

Green Fury the S.8000, besides from being fast, has a decent climbrate and Six Hispanos in the nose, but is a low-speed brick, and it’s elevator is a huge target as well

152 H can easily deal with P-51s at high alt, it's not even a contest, same with spitfires. P-47s are a little harder but you have good chances. Not sure on the Ta 152 C

@@J7Handle actually, 152-C3 can outspeed and outclimb 47m from ground level up to 8k meters, so u have, like, enough time to delete this heretical plane out of existence. 51H has more chances against u, but u are 5.7, so 6.3 are 2 br's higher. Take C3 in rb and enjoy superiority of german engineering, m8!

I do think that, but then i think about, if this fighter as well as the do335 does't have air spawn, imagine the bomber spam in enemy teams, its hard question to answer, i remember when bombers and fighters only had ground spawn, fights took a while to develop.

Wouldn't the P-47D-28 and N have similar high altitude shallow climb capabilities? It would need to be more shallow, but wouldn't it still work? Also, if you've got the Russian tree, how the *hell* do you counter Japanese planes from 4.0 up through ~6.0? I've been flying the I-185(M-71), Yak-3 and La-5FN, but it seems I just can't get anything to work. The Japanese planes outmaneuver me, usually outclimb me, and will hold on surprisingly well in a dive. I outspeed them in level flight, but usually not by a lot, and a km or so of altitude is enough to negate that. Combine that with the diverse playstyles/capabilities (Ki-84, J2M, A7M), and it's hard to find any consistently effective planes or tactics. Any help would be much appreciated!

I dunno about the Sea Fury but the P-51H has pretty shit high alt characteristics. The WEP gets less and less powerful as you go up. P-51H is all about excessive power on the deck coupled with energy fighting. Above 5 km it gets much more difficult.

@@Serkay64 Well, I have to say that the P-51H still has quite strong power even at high altitudes, albeit the gap closes with a lot of other aircraft. I will say that the P-47N and Ta 152 C-3 only catch up to the P-51H in climb rate at around 9 km, and neither actually surpass the P-51H in climb rate. That's just how good the P-51H is. Taking the P-51H up in altitude only closes the performance gap, beating it in energy characteristics is only really feasible for a small handful of planes. I'm not sure any 109s are capable of it, but I haven't checked scientifically.
